What happened during your first DMT experiences? Peaked my curiosity. Why the long break?
Welcome to the Nexus!!
Thanks for the reply! I took a long break from psychedelics mainly because of the lack of proper set and setting. In college I had a group of friends who twice a year would go camping in the wilderness and we would all eat psilocybin mushrooms and have a great time. We have all since graduated and have moved to different locations. My significant other is also not cool with me taking psychedelics, which is a bummer. We are working on it.
Now on to the DMT.
I have only smoked DMT on top of mullein out of a weed pipe, and it has been over 7 years. The first time was with three people, one of which I know and trust, the others I had just met that night which didn't give me a since of security. We went of the back porch of this cabin that I've never been to. We sat on he porch furniture and in the dark with a chilly wind blowing, we proceeded to take the sacrament. I've tried to remember what happened to me so many time that I think my brain created this "vision" of what I think a DMT trip should like. I've watched plenty of documentaries and read tons information so I'm wondering if this memory is just a compilation of other peoples accounts. It's been so long that it's hard to tell but I'll give it a shot any way.
I know that broke through on my first rip guaranteed. I remember hearing a noise that was intense and it got more intense until it absolutely broke who and where I was, it was not painful though. Being launched at hyper speed through a color tunnel and having the thought that I for sure have died, is not a comforting feeling. I remember seeing colorful architectural structures, canals, hallways and tunnels. It was over so fast and when I landed back in my body the absolute first thing I did was try to communicate because I wanted to be sure that I am back and wanted them to know that I was safe. As terrifying as it was the experience was very eye opening to me .Set and setting could have been better however.
The fact that we have the ability to smoke something and "transport" to another "world" is strange to say the least. Not just any world but a world that is full of magnificent art. I have been painting for quite some time now and always struggle to find creative things to paint. Painting with the heart and painting with the ego are two completely different things. Painting with the heart is difficult and sometimes I feel like my creativity level is low. I think I cannot possibly produce anything the world hasn't seen before. When I smoked DMT and went into this world of highly detailed, colorful and, complex structures it made me realized that I can put that though to rest. There is so much in this universe that we don't have access to. Whether this crazy trip is produced by my brain or an actual other dimension, there is more out there that we can fathom. It's easy to get caught up in this materialist world, I find that smoking DMT is the most direct way of breaking down the material/spirit barrier.
Best,
