With almost every extraction guide I've come across, Naptha is in the ingredients.

This stuff is nonexistent in Australia, and although I've found alternatives that can be used for specific extractions in specific ways; I was wondering if there is something that can be used that has all of the same properties as naptha. Since lsa extractions also seem to use naptha in a different way as to dmt extractions, an alternative to naptha would be greatly appreciated. Does it go under a different name? I couldn't find anything.

Thank you so much!

There are other NPS you can use for sure, honestly I started here, https://wiki.dmt-nexus.me/Nontoxic_limonene_tek
Although I would recommend naptha still..
I have also seen teks that use lighter fluid, but I would make sure it evaps clean before use.

Is Naptha controlled in Australia for some reason? Can you not order it online?
Also IME Naptha and VMP-Naptha are synonymous.

petroleum ether
Acceptance of the fact that our reality is not real doesn't in fact mean it is not real. It just leads to better understanding what real means.

I've often heard of australians using shellite.
Names differ by region so you'll want to get in the habit of reading MSDS (SDS) sheets to find out a solvents composition and boiling range.
Petroleum ether is low boiling aliphatic (paraffinic) and naphtha is higher boiling aliphatic (or mostly aliphatic) with heptane being a pure aliphatic compound that boils between the two.
For the record 'hydrotreated' means aliphatic.
Take a look at an SDS for shellite like this one. Skim past the stuff thats like 'bla bla, dont drink it, dont pour it on fish' and you'll see the composition is 'Solvent naphtha (petroleum), light aliphatic' with the note that it contains some n-hexane (try not to breathe too much) and virtually no benzene. Skim past 'bla bla, dont pour it on your head' and farther down in the chemical properties section you'll see it boils low with the upper boiling range just above that of heptane and around the middle of many naphthas, so it can probably be evaporated.
SDS sheets are gold for choosing solvents. The bottles and cans rarely give useful information.

You'll also want to read the Solvents in Australia thread here.

Limonene looked a bit pricey, but thank you.
I'm not sure really, no one seems to ship naptha to Australia and none of the stores here have anything under the name. Weird.

Ah yes, shellite seems to be the way to go.
Just wondering, so many extraction methods require evaporation at some point, but I haven't seen anything about how long it takes. I gather the evaporation is at the very end, in order to remove all traces of the solvent from the final product, but the only thing I found that tests if all of the naptha is gone is by smell.

As for the evap, try it out for yourself and get a feel for it. No need to stress.
