Aloha! My neighbor tossed out some bags from a recent grow he thought we're failed before going on vacation. while feeding his dogs today I noticed that they had some pins inside so I brought them back inside. I'm not to experienced in fungi and I can't get in touch with him. Does anyone know how I might save these and help them fruits grow? I'd clean the outside of the bags with IPA, put them in a clean large Tupperware bin, cut the top of the bags open, put a cup of water in the corner, and cover with the Tupperware lid. This will give them a little fresh air while keeping them in a moist environment at the same time. You can open the lid every couple days and check on them and give a little bit of fresh air. Try to pick right before the veils break. Thats a pretty cool neighbor to have

Thanks for the advice! I read your post and did more research then set them up in a tub yesterday. They look way better this morning! I think they were cramped and needed air. Getting bigger... I can see a cap breaking through the substrate on the left. KloudQ7 attached the following image(s): IMG_20181122_101240.jpg (1,004kb) downloaded 114 time(s).

There's some white fuzz coming up to the caps and most of the pins have stopped growing. Not sure what this is.

Could be cobweb mould - is it greyish, especially when compared to the pure-white psilo myc? “There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. It's pure white. You can see a patch in the last pics but I'll post a better one.

How's the temps, FAE, humidity? Could be overlay. Try carefully poking the surface of the substrate with a sterile (isopropanol will do) fork. This will help the myc to breathe - but read up on it first cos I'm a bit guessing here and someone more expert should chime in! “There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. I've been fanning them with the lid twice a day for about 5-10 minutes. Though it is pretty humid in there, some condensation forms on the lid when it's closed. Looks like more pins are coming, the cakes should have more to give. Enjoy
