Hi everyone. I have been a long time lurker on dmt nexus (though I have never actually done DMT). A lot of the posts are deeply thought provoking and I enjoy reading them. I have been interested in psychedelics since I smoked cannabis a few years ago. The first time I tried it I felt like I could actually visualize music. I have tried mushrooms once but didn't feel anything(maybe not enough?).

DMT and Salvia struck me as astonishing in that they seem to literally transport people into an entirely alien world. Now as a scientist (working towards a graduate degree in Physics) I look askance when I read reports of people sincerely believing that DMT and Salvia induced visions are in fact alternate dimensions and such. But the sheer unnaturalness of the experience fascinates me, and naturally I became curious to try them myself. Well, I did try Salvia (extract) and the one time I felt strong effects was very weird. For a good 5 minutes I believed the walls were alive and I desperately moved from one to the other trying to disprove it, during which I felt like they were taunting me. Now I want to try a traditional method (quid or tea) before trying the extract again.
