I currently have 2 rooted leaves which I purchased as p. Virdris I have them at approximately 71 degrees but have another potential space that is 20 degrees warmer at 91 degrees. Which area would they prefer?

If those are your only two choices, I'd probably go with 71F. THey'll be a bit slower to root that way but they'll be less prone to rotting. If you can manage to find a spot that's about 85F that would be ideal.

If they are throwing roots already leave them in that soil, but if they aren't I'd change it to sphagnum moss (NOT peat moss)or coco coir. They need no nutrients while they're rooting and soil will only increase the chances of rotting.

I bumped it up to about 79 for them but idk how much higher I can get it without it sometimes reaching 90. They already have some established roots visible in 1-2 sports per container. Any other suggestions? And would it be accurate to say I'm about a month away from having seedlings?

Depends. If nothing else Psychotria is a great teacher of patience. Under ideal circumstances and genetics I can get a 6 inch tall plant in six months when propagated by leaf cuttings. Others can take more than a year to get to that size.

I usually start with an entire leaf because I find it speeds things up. Greater leaf surface area means faster growth of the plantlets. Since yours are half leaves they will probably take longer.

Excursions up to a temp of 90F won't necessarily be detrimental, but if you could keep it to the high 80s I think that would be OK.

And just to be clear. I rarely have Psychotria leaves rot at temps even well past 95F, but I have gotten reports of folks up north having problems with them. Don't know why that might be the case, but apparently your latitude can affect how these things go.

Yeah I'm a bit north, so it sounds like it may not be worth the risk just for some accelerated growth.
