Hi everyone,
My B Caapi Caupuri started forming these brown spots on the centre of the lower leaves a week ago. These spots spread and eventually took over the whole leaves which turned yellow and fell off (took less than a week). Now they are attacking the upper leaves and new growth. The new growth stems have also started getting brown spots.
The plant was grown in a ceramic glazed container with one drainage hole in "Osmocote 10L Professional Seed Raising And Cutting Mix". I'm worried the container may have restricted drainage too much resulting in root rot/fungal infections. Am I correct in this analysis (see attached photos)? If so - are there any measures I can take to save my sacred plant?
A few more details about the plant:
1. Use Maxigro / Seasol / Powerfeed once a week (spring time), watering once every 3-4 days
2. Outdoors under a well-ventilated, transparent cover
3. Temperature ranges from 10 to 40 deg, RH: 50%-80%
I've trimmed off all the infected leaves, placed it in the ground and gave it a good watering. Hope this will suffice! Any advice is much appreciated!!
