Hey there , my initial thoughts on this place include the possibility that there could be a mix of different types of people . of course , but also that there is a greater possibility that this forum could host a number of more inelegant , interesting , and ultimately good/loving human beings . rather than oh i dont know what i may find at the world star forum ?
that being said , i did take a look at the music threads and i found a lot of world , specifically eastern music - which is very hip , and i will definitely check that out . i am a fan of a band called SC3 . as far as ME , i am a guitar person , i like guitars and everything that goes with that especially rock and roll . guitars , guitar electronics , loud music , metal , anything having to do with stings and wood comes up =gud to my brain . psychedelic rock - thats a tough one . somewhere that term also got associated with "sloppy" and dont get me wrong - the mummies party at steves is a great album but ... i also prefer order to my chaos .
mind you i am not and would never speak of another band : "here come the mummies" who use horns . i must type this as this happens every time i ever mention the mummies . the real defunct garage band the mummies . i tend to not enjoy music that is on the radio constantly . i have selective taste . i was never a metallica fan , have seen slayer , mr bungle is one of my all time favorite bands but i also love harry nilsson .
there is a point i am getting to here - i would really love it if ya'll could turn me on to some new GUITAR or ROCK music . i am pretty narrow minded as i trend to not have time for pop /hip hop/drum machine/edm stuff . maybe i think buckethead did an alterego thing i could handle maybe ten minutes of that but ... dmt nexus show me what ya got ! if you would like ot recomend something that is not guitar or psychedelic that is fine , i am just saying chances are better considering the title of the thread and my taste and all . i know it a tough genre ...
so , since i am unable to post in the area that has the music that gets you thru life thread abd that is fine i am sure if i do decide to stay here my posts will be ignored and i will be attacked until i cant take it and give up . i will share a band which i feel is important .
first i will say this .
music is subjective . (its ok if you think my favorite music sucks and vice versa - it would actually be bad if we all went around liking the same stuff , its ok to be a critic but be nice , remember what mom said - if you dont like something no biggie if you love something not evertone else will . it seems with oddball or musician types , they are the toughest to please.
that being said - the bands name is King Gizzard and the lizard wizard . they are the psychedelic Australian Beatles. seriously - that good . THE best band to come around in ages . (in my opinion music is subjective silly)

i am not young , i have a debilitating back injury so mosh pit - getting shoved or beer spilt on me is not a gud tyme , yo . their shows are pretty bad for that mindless party up shit so , i actually took a pass three times now . i kind of need to sit .
