Every single time I use dmt I experience extremely powerful, uncontrollable, yet still pleasant shivers on the come down. I always thought this was my brain re-integrating with my body but it is always accompanied by a strange slithering sensation in my back and neck, also extending somewhat past the top of my head.

Earlier today I found out about the Kundalini - the energy serpent which coils around the spine, activating all the chakras at once, which can be awoken through deep meditation.

I now believe that the sensation I feel is in fact the Kundalini, tightening it's grip around my spine, holding it close.

I am going to research into this further and even start meditating to see if I can develop a stronger connection with my Kundalini Serpent.

Your thoughts are welcome and encouraged.

I got exactly same sensations on mushrooms ( 3.5g cubensis, after 24 fast, in beautiful natural environment). It was most profound experience of my life. As you said, the feeling was so powerful
and that sensation of snake wrapping around spine was so real Smile It was followed by exactly this vision https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pGV8fTCOGQ , this is something that intrigued me mostly because then i didn't have any knowledge about shared visions among psychonatus.

Anyway, it is amazing that you get those kundalini sensations every time you smoke spice Smile Mystics say that it is always present at the base of our spine and that it only needs to be activated. There is practice called kundalini yoga which uses some mantras, pranayama and postures to activate that kundalini energy. I have a friend who experienced exactly same thing with kundalini yoga posture where he was saying SAT-NAM mantra in some pose for 2 hours. These practices are very powerful and should be approached with caution because that kundalini energy can do serious harm if the mind and body aren't prepared (i have red it on erowid and in Barbara Ann Brennan's book Hands of light) Also i think that there are many other ways to activate that same energy like prolonged fasting, meditation, dancing etc... Maybe you could activate it with Stanislav Grof's holotropic breathwork, i haven't tried it but people report very profound experiences with that practice. It is combination of prolonged dancing, accelerated breathing, meditating, massage to evoke mystical experiences. Maybe that wouldn't bring kundalini sensations but i think it was worth mentioning .

I wish you all the best with your future trips and kundalini practice and hope it will bring you much love and light in your life Smile

Had it once or twice post-DMT too.

I've seen people have it during the come up of mushrooms, and I had it once prior to an operation at the hospital before I was given anything at all.

Think it's some kind of neurological spasm/seizure type thing.

Thank you for the commentary, that vision is very similar to what I saw on the come-up of 3 of my trips but it was all red/orange or red/dark blue.

Thanks for introducing me to holotropic breathing, it is definitely something that intrigues me. Very happy

I can also imagine that activating the Kundalini without properly preparing myself would be dangerous as it is so immensely powerful, I appreciate the warnings.

Its interesting you say you had it prior to an operation, perhaps you really needed that surge of energy. Did you also have an out of body experience during the op? Confused Or anything else mystical during or afterwards? Just curious, don't have to answer Thumbs up

Basically this was just prior to my operation to remove my appendix, which apparently had just ruptured. I didn't feel nervous or anything, actually quite calm and accepting of whatever should happen. All I remember was the surgeon shoving a real fat needle into my wrist and saying 'you'll be out in 5'. Counted to 5 and was like 'hey, don't think it's worki..'. Conk.

Nothing mystical though. The time I was out during the operation I feel like I was aware in some aspect but I can't retrieve the memory of it.
