aware of the 1:15:1 rule of thumb.

question - CAN my pal use moar h20 in a tek ?

comparing the cyb salt tek to the max ion tek it appears the ONE difference is in the amount of h2o used in the salt stage . its 1 liter vs 100 ml .

in his case he would be trying a max ion and using more h20 . around 100ml or so more , simply as the extraction vesel works much better at this amount . he has obtained several types of flasks with long necks , so he is trying to taylor his teks to hit the number where the flask works best ie layer is equal to flask volume nps sits in the long neck portion , dig ?

lets say he is starting with 50g acrb and then using 400ml , but at the salt stage running it higher at 1100ml would this be "bad" and why ?

as far as why its in a another thread called " pyres love affair" which may have been too wordy . he found a smaller flask which is around 1830 , where the long neck starts so he is thinking he will be ok going water heavy . perhaps he should consider using 100g of acrb ?

a huge thanks to anyone who would help me out with info . i am hoping to figure out how to adjust a tek to use the 2280 ml flask , that will run up to 2390 full and it would work very well

TL;dr is it cool to use moar water in a tek ? or no ? why ? ty

Yes you can use more water, shouldn't be any problem. Just make sure you mix well before making pulls, because if the solvent is only on the top thin bottle neck, it might not mix well if you just swirl it a bit.
