My vote is yes quite a number of times, i find it very useful for meditation, mind clearing and body purification. I always get these beautiful and magical sparkles in my vision to which are very similar to the sparkles i see on mescaline they are very similar to me though khat doesn't have the hallucination properties that mescaline has. Much Peace

very good for a physical and mental cleansing - perhaps 2-4 times per year at most for swim as he is not a major fan of stimulants. antrocles wrote:...purity of intent....purity of execution....purity of experience...

No ILPT hasn`t How much One need to chew, dried, fresh, either ... As a kemist I never met ILPT in physical form and never talk to him. He share his wisdom, trough my mind, telepathicly only. Please don`t prosecute me, for his possible illegal activities. He is bonkers about chemistry and doesn`t even exist in this primitive reality !!!

Kemist They come in fresh bundles and the outer soft bark is what is peeled off and chewed as well as the soft top shoots and leafs. The redder the catha edulis the better as this is said to determine potency. If ethiopians are in your country than catha edulis is easily obtainable from Ethiopian restaurants. I usually buy one bundle to spilt between two people, it takes quite some time to chew half a bundle but its well worth it though. Its great to eat and share with your partner or friends. I like to have clove tea and some hash handy which go very well in combination while chewing catha edulis Much Peace

best tek for this is the traditional tek Make some clove and cinnamon tea - put on some nice music, sit comfortably with beanbags and pillows around, burn insense, chat, etc... Eat beforehand as you wont be hungry for a long time. the khat must be picked the same day its eaten - by the second day 50% of its activity is lost and thats if its stored in a cold moist place, third day or dried its useless. antrocles wrote:...purity of intent....purity of execution....purity of experience...

it looks like this when purchased old pix a friend took ages ago, what it looks like varies quite a bit. The tek for eating it goes like this : take one stem piece as pictured above - break off each little stem - then take each little stem and while holding it at the base, bite off the soft red outer bark and put it in your cheek, keep removing the soft red bark, green bark and leaves in this manner chewing the quid in your cheek the whole time - the piece that u discard is just plain wood - the wood from the center of the piece. Clove and cinnamon tea is traditional i think its main purpose is to soften the mucous membrane(its made preddy sweet too because the sweetness goes so well with the flavour of khat - often a bowl of sugar is left around, each person takes a tiny paper scoop and adds it to the quid as they feel like it.) The traditional food to eat before is injera. cannabis or hash goes down well with it swims heard. antrocles wrote:...purity of intent....purity of execution....purity of experience...

Kemist You should of just asked. This is my own personal view, ok its very euphoric, simulates speech, keeps you wide awake for quite sum time, i do get sparkles in my vision which aren't complete hallucinations but are hallucinations. Khat is almost exactly like cactus for me with very similar effects and purification properties, just without the colourful hallucinations of cactus and the plant spirit of the cactus of course. I personally feel its closer to a phenethylamine than an amphetamine. Much Peace

Ive not had some Khat in a few months but was using it fairly reguarly last year, only had it a few times this year. I really enjoy it and would love to grow it one day. Has anyone ever made a tea from the plant? I heard you could do this and avoid the chewing? I tried it but I didnt use a blender so it didnt work, my friend said it worked and was almost like mdma, kinda what your saying aegle, ill have to get some again, its been a while!

Its like cactus pretty much with large amounts of euphoria and sparkles but no colorful hallucinations there are transparent hallucinations though. I have tried both the tea and the chewing method and the chewing method works much better and the effects are much stronger, yes i know the chewing is time consuming but i personally enjoy the chewing its very interactive and great when you are socializing with a few friends. Much Peace

the leaves are terrible tasting, at least the older ones are. leaves maker a good tea, stronger than Camellia, not quite as euphoric as Coca, but somehwere in between. in the pic, the stems seem to be quite young, almost look like suckers. if the older and redder the material is, what would the woody stems rate? green glossy leaves with red veins are almost like pine needles to chew, only taste not bitter and piney but very bitter and astringent. has anyone tried to smoke the dried leaves?

i love the taste of the leaves, bitter but delicious(if u find it too bitter u can add a tiny amount of sugar to ur quid) - only the fleshy stuff around the wooden core is chewed. antrocles wrote:...purity of intent....purity of execution....purity of experience...

Khat is really easy to grow and plants are easy to obtain. If anybody is looking for plants please PM (no I am not selling them personally, I'm going to link you to a vendor). Just remember the plants are illegal in the USA, but totally legal in Europe and Canada, so I encourage you to grow Khat if you live in a place where it's legal, my vendor ships all over the world!
