I had heard a similar statement that "smoking weed was good for your lungs" and when I quizzed the source a bit more, they clarified that they heard it was "a bit of a bronchodilator that improved oxygen uptake briefly...". So that was third hand info, and does not constitute fact, therefore, and is still not 'beneficial' in my book.
I am an asthmatic, at times bad with multiple meds, and at times med free. I usually smoke a bit of weed before bed to sleep, but stopped recently before a surgery to clear my system. My lungs have been great, even in this high allergen time of year. But by golly, once I started smoking a tiny bit this last few days, my lungs are affected- cough, phlegm, irritation. Is it the hash? Maybe. But what I'm getting at is that allowing your lungs a break, to clear, can help you figure out what the culprit is. If you smoke multiple herbs/tobacco, and vape DMT, how can you know what is causing the burn? Sure the gunk tastes like DMT, but what if the weed is irritating, creating the mucus which in turn traps the DMT vape, which you then cough up and taste?
When my asthma is bad, or my lungs inflamed/burning, anything makes them hurt- dust, allergens (pollen, horse dust, mowing), smoking... And I cough, and ther's crap coming up... In order to stop it all, I have to use inhaled anti-inflammatories... so once inflammation starts, it doesn't just go away or stop very quickly. So, maybe be a bit more kind to your lungs for a bit, let them heal, try to stop smoking for a bit, save your $ and get a GVG... Add only one thing at a time, protecting your lungs as best as possible in between sessions.
Since I am reading as much as I can these days here on the site, I'm getting a much clearer picture of whether DMT vape would be okay for me from a physiological standpoint (at this point, I'm thinking 'No'
. I've had a very light intro to Aya, and it seemed to suit me- now thanks to the drug interactions thread posted today by nen888 (thank you!), I know which of my arsenal of asthma, allergy, body ache meds that I use at times now should be avoided before during and after Aya use. Lessons to learn, since my experiences with other psychedelics/rec drugs have shown me just how sensitive my system really is.
So a question, is there really no extraction solvents left in the crystals? I read someone noted the "mothball" smell, that's naphtha... Should you ever smell or taste that if the crystals are clean and pure? I can't imagine these chems can be good for your lungs.
