Has any folk done any tests on any common Thorn trees or red bud trees? A person hasn't been able to aquire info if they have.

Gleditsia triacanthos (honey locust/thorn) and Cercis (redbud).

It’s been a while, but I’m almost sure I ran TLC plates on those two.
For a while, I was trying to test all my local Legume family plants.
So far, no positive discoveries.

It can be done quite easily really, even for a large number of species.
One idea is to just do quick STB of batches of several potential species in one vessel.
In the unlikely event that you find a positive spot, simply retest the individual species from that particular batch.

That's a great idea! I'm still reading up on tlc, but I hope to try soon.
