SO

The meteor shower begins today/tonight, depending on where you are.

Start Time:
Monday, November 16, 2009 at 11:00pm PST(PT)

End Time:
Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 4:00am PST(PT)

You can determine what time 11:00pm PST converts to in your time zone by using this time converter:

http://www.iagora.com/it...tools/conv/time_cnv.html

Remember, PST is the same thing as PT.

If you don't already know your time zone, you can determine that by looking here:

http://www.worldtimezone.com/ (click on the relevant time map located directly under the ad banner at the top)

"It is going to be very great with one of the biggest meteor shower events of our lifetime. I would recomend everyone mark their calendars for this historic event. Plus it is just going to be mad cool.

On Nov. 17, 2009, Earth will pass through the 1466 stream again, but this time closer to the center. Based on the number of meteors observed in 2008, Vaubaillon can estimate the strength of the coming display: five hundred or more Leonids per hour. The times provided are optimal view hours for PST, but the Leonid Meteor shower may last up to two days so there may be other times for optimal viewing."

I didn't get to watch it either.

The sky was basically one big gloomy cloud for 3 days, starting with the 16th. Sad

Damn missed it! I love watching these stars fall from the sky.
Last time I watched em was during the Perseids Meteor Shower, caught completely by surprise. I was on vacation in Northern Minnesota in the middle of nowhere in a cabin, went outside to see the clearest most vivid sky I have ever seen then began seeing meteor showers. Such an amazing sight, I wish I had brought my DMT with me.
