I have to wonder if there is a collective experience we can relate to together, in terms of what we "see" on our trip. Through language, I hope to explain the strange atmosphere I am propelled to experience.

This place seems similar to an acid trip, however, pelted upon my consciousness as if it is a "screen" somewhere above my head - this case, coming in from the right side. Immediately, I am being pelted with geometric forms in the most bold, neon, colours. The patterns always have both sharp edges with a mandala-like quality (I think the mandalas are sort of made of hard geometric forms, and they are supposed upon one another) and they spin like crazy!

Weirder still is that they have a frequency - I don't hear with my physical ears, but the frequency is very high! I wondered afterwards if they are somehow matching my own body's frequency or if it carries it own. Have you ever heard it? It's not like I know for a fact, but it also seems like something, a big machine or mechanic system is controlling this imposition of geometry. It IS the system itself but also comes from a more cold, mechanical, place. My feeling is that a synthetic grasshopper or some powerful insect is bringing this world forth.

I never see beings or animals but feel more presences/energies. I'm a sensitive person in that my body feels sensations and I'm quite aware of what's going on in my body. So I become quite disconnected from my body during these, and I have to hold my friend's hand to remind me I'm human and feel myself.

It's similar to an acid trip, because it tries to suck me into the machine... But I'm always too scared to become that. Mechanical. So I resist a lot until it becomes more "smooth" and the geometry starts to dissolve into lucid feelings.

But the biggest takeaway is the place I've been - a few questions for you:

What is your experience of geometry, in detail?

Does the world you go to feel warm and inviting or cold and foreign?

Do you get messages in words or feelings? (I'm usually too freaked out to receive messages from this realm...)

If you encounter beings, are they warm or cold?

Do you feel that these worlds have a separate reality of their own? What does that mean for our collective and individual experiences?

PS) two of my friends traveled with me today, and we each have our own "world" we are propelled into. But there are similarities between two of us. But still, unexplainable to each other. Hmmmm!

Q: What is your experience of geometry, in detail?
A: The geometry is perfect and crystal clear. It seems to have a mind of it's own and is also responsive to stimuli such as sounds or music. It can become all enveloping, pulling me into other areas of hyperspace. I feel sucked into these geometric shapes sometimes.

Q: Does the world you go to feel warm and inviting or cold and foreign?
A: Both... it is infinite in every way. I have felt almost like I am home, a very familiar feeling. I have also felt like I just wandered into the wrong part of town.

Q: Do you get messages in words or feelings? (I'm usually too freaked out to receive messages from this realm...)
A: Never seems to come in English. Always seem to get messages in emotions and a deep down knowing. Core truths I guess you could say. I mean the message will not be understood unless it is something you already understand. It can come in large flashes of information which can feel rather overwhelming. It can take some time to integrate the information and message. It feels like it falls into place as any integration progresses. Month after a trip I have had 'Ah-Ha!!' moments.

Q: If you encounter beings, are they warm or cold?
A:Again... both... I have been with cold and indifferent entities and I have been with enitites that feel like family, very warm and embracing. It is infinite!

Q: Do you feel that these worlds have a separate reality of their own? What does that mean for our collective and individual experiences?
A: I cannot answer this question as I do not know. I won't speculate. I see it as experiences that, to me, are just as real as anything else I experience in this life. For me it is fine not to know and I am ok saying that 'I don't know'.

All in all what I would say about the DMT experience is that what you bring with you will play for you or against you in hyperspace. Bring a good attitude and healthy respect with you and you should be just fine. If you bring fear or negativity with you, it will shove it right in your face. I find facing everything with courage, positivity and gratitude and I almost always have a pleasant journey. In fact, I simply do not have negative journeys anymore.

I mind my p's and q's, have worked out my set and setting to my liking and I approach my journeys with a certain sense of humor. This three things make a huge difference in my experiences.

My experience of geometry varies by experience, but is certainly more prevalent with stronger journeys. My most vivid journey included rapidly moving tunnels of colorful fractal patterns. At smaller doses geometry is certainly present but is often more part of the setting.

The world varies for me, but at times it can seem somewhat foreign and distant yet inviting in the same way. I certainly have never gotten messages in clear words. It has been through pictures, emotions, and a deep probing into the psyche. I feel that this medicine mandates us to drop many of our day to day psychological defenses, allowing us to peel off many layers and get to understandings and issues we had no idea were even important in our daily lives.

Most beings I have encountered seem warm. Some are menacing in a certain respect, but I still find them warm in a way, as if they're showing me something even if their appearance is unnerving. As far as a separate reality of their own, I also do not know and am not sure how to speculate. Overall I believe that these worlds are in our own minds and don't exist elsewhere, yet this gets into some very deep and philosophical territory. I am still open to the idea of the medicine being a gateway to another dimension, or perhaps just a window into the worlds we are creating in our brains.

My strongest experiences have also been with ayahuasca rather than vaping/smoking DMT, which I am still quite new at. So far I prefer the aya experience because it feels more "grounded" to me, as some have said, rather than a kaleidoscope or hyper-speed slideshow that pure DMT can be. Although it can extend an uncomfortable journey, I also prefer the opportunity to work with the state for hours rather than minutes. Good amounts of caapi have thus altered my experience, giving another layer besides pure DMT. This is only my experience, though, and everyone takes a different path.

I agree very much with Dmnstr8 about being vigilant with set and setting. How you prepare your mind and body can dictate the path and level of comfort with the experience. I too try to find a sense of humor with it despite the at times very serious nature, and that certainly helps. I don't find that the sense of humor bars me from meaningful work, rather it helps me immerse myself more fully into the experience and integrate the work more.
