Nexus Dwellers,
It's my pleasure to greet you all after having spent such time learning from many of you. Your generosity and helpfulness is much appreciated.
I used DMT for the first time accidentally about 15 years ago in a spiked bowl. Though it was uncomfortable, it remained profound to me, even though I wouldn't seriously begin looking into my own mind for years to come. Those few minutes following the moment when I saw my friend's Pitbull wrapped in large bulb Christmas lights were sufficient to undermine the authority of what I assumed was "reality".
I didn't use any drugs at all after those years up until recently. In my late 30's, I've went through a mid-life crisis of sorts. There was also a heavy dose of frustration due to the fact that though I considered myself a psychonaut, I had difficulty finding techniques of accessing the deeper parts of the mind in a way that's accessible to westerners. It was after admitting this handicap that I began listening to Terrence Mckenna audios (a man I've long respected). Terrance is a prophet for a new era and he gave me great hope that plant medicines could assist me in my journey.
I started just smoking Cannabis. Though I consumed it for relaxation and to sooth my troubled mind, it has helped me with my personal growth in miraculous ways. I feel I now have the maturity to understand what relationships with plants can be like. It has also helped me sort out a lot of the damage I did during my difficult period recently.
I found this site early on and began researching intently. I've done DMT a handful of times since then (all by e-pens) and have found it to be very helpful. Recently, I also started making Changa, and I think that is my go-to vehicle now. I won't post trip reports here since it's already so long.
In summary, I just want to extend my thanks to this community for the help you've given me so far, and for the continued assistance you offer. I look forward to continuing to learn and sharing my own experiences as I might be able to help others.
-Valentinus

Welcome from a fellow newcomer. I can relate a little, as i have recently begun to revisit psychedelics following a transitional period in my mid 30s.
If I could ask a quick question: What wattage and resistance does your pen use' and were you able to break through using this method?
I am currently using a temperature control setup with an RDA using a 1g/4ml mix. I haven't done it many times yet, and haven't broken through. I obviously needed to experiment more, but I am having a difficult time finding people using an agreed upon temp and wattage.
I've had two incredibly intense experiences, but not what I would consider a breakthrough when taking into account of the general impressions of what a "typical" breakthrough is. People say you'll know when it's happened, and if there is any truth to that I feel as though I haven't.

Not exactly in my body but I don't think I fully broke through. I use a Source Orb 4 and started with an Ego Twist battery set to one of the lowest volts (3.5ish) but the battery seemed to die on me quickly as even with a fresh charge the DMT would melt but not vaporize. I ordered an eLeaf to replace it though I haven't used it yet since I've started making Changa.

Welcome Valentinus! From what I've read of your writing so far (just this thread), it seems to me that you'll fit in rather well around here. Make good use of the myriad resources available to all of us here on the Nexus & share as much knowledge & wisdom as you can and you will find yourself a full member in no time. Nice to have you here. Take care. Freedom's so hard When we are all bound by laws Etched in the scheme of nature's own hand Unseen by all those who fail In their pursuit of fate

Welcome Valentinus, I recently bought a GVG and although it is fine it is not much better than my straight glass pipe with 8 SS screens crumpled in it. And it's big and bulky... I think I am going to try the "Yocan Evolve Plus XL Kit Wax Vaporizer Pen (Quad Quartz Coil)" from Ebay after reading many threads here. I have yet to surpass a .022 dose size so I don't think the tool is so much the issue, more of the size of the thing. I got the GVG for $129 and I can get the Yocan for under $25... Search and research... Have fun I realize that no one book, one person, or even one ideology will have all the answers. I believe my job is to remain open yet discriminating. My intuition helps me discern truth, and wisdom helps me identify malicious intentions.

Have fun From everything I hear, the GVG is a superior device but with a steep learning curve. Is this what you found to be true too? The vape companies sure seem to be trying to put stuff out there for us though. ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png)

I have had no problems with it at all, it works great. I got the concentrate pad with it and yeah the only complaint is discretion. It's huge, I live with people and must maintain a level of cool. No Drugs, a vape pen I could explain away, a GVG, forget it I realize that no one book, one person, or even one ideology will have all the answers. I believe my job is to remain open yet discriminating. My intuition helps me discern truth, and wisdom helps me identify malicious intentions.

I've heard freebase can be very harsh. Is that the case with the GVG or is it a pretty smooth delivery?

To be honest all three methods I have smoked have not been harsh, but perspective is key there harsh to one could be smooth to another. GVG is the smoothest I have tried. (Straight pipe, GVG, Eclipse) I realize that no one book, one person, or even one ideology will have all the answers. I believe my job is to remain open yet discriminating. My intuition helps me discern truth, and wisdom helps me identify malicious intentions.
