Just finished my survey, hope I did well, though I didn't read through the OHT handbook for the first 80%. If you are new and are reading this, read through it BEFORE you take the survey. The link is right there on the survey screen, but my dumb ass didn't click on it to even investigate what it was, and I don't think you can go back to questions that you already submitted answers to.

I've always had an interest in DMT since reading about it on erowid years and years ago, but was never able to do anything about it. Now many years later, my interest in psychedelics has returned. Having had many psilocybin experiences over the past 2 years, listening to numerous McKenna sessions, and hearing of the surging popularity of Ayahuasca, I decided it was time to reinvestigate DMT, and here I am.

And what a world it is...

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

What a world it is, indeed! Welcome to the Nexus!

Since we are talking about the questionnaire, I'd like to add that it is designed to see who is willing to take some time to research the questions presented. Using google and any of the resources here at the Nexus (or anywhere) to aid in answering the questions is not only acceptable, it is encouraged. Full members can see the answers and vote for people's full membership. Other ways to earn votes includes general interaction on the forum or chat, and an intro essay always helps. Since you've done most of these, I'd say you are well on your way to becoming a full member!

It is nice to meet you and I hope you enjoy your time here!

Good luck!

Yeah, I figured that was the purpose of the survey, and I have to say that I do appreciate the way the registration and membership process works here. As frustrating as it seemed at times to work through the survey, I do understand it serves an important purpose. I've never seen it done quite this way, though I'm sure it elevates the community to a higher standard that I wish was adopted elsewhere.

Forums like the Nexus and Shroomery are invaluable resources to anyone who takes these subjects seriously, and I'm glad to see there are precautions in place to prevent the Nexus from becoming overrun with the kind of nonsense I witness on more causal forums for my unrelated interests.

Just a whole lot of gratitude on my end.

Welcome Liquidreality,

This site has so much information it is mind boggling at times. Search and research, LOL.

Thanks guys!

The amount of information is quite staggering, especially considering it is something it appears so few people even know exist.

And yes, I smash that search function when I have a question, if at the very least to avoid the embarrassment: the only stupid question is the one that's been asked and answered once a week for the past 15 years Big grin
