Wow man! glad your ok. Be careful, really careful. Start with low doses again if you plan to do them again, and I'd prob leave out the maois. Swim took 3.5 of cubes once and it turned out to be the worst trip of his life, "impending doom" was definitely felt. After the peak he was ok, but the come up was harrowing, it felt toxic, and the mindfuck was horrile.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Thank you all so very much for the positive support and understanding. Thant really scared me and it scared my wife. When we were driving to the fire station we were driving down a dark narrow logging road through the woods there was a point where the forest ended and there was beautiful pastures on either side and the sun was brite. We were not yet out of the woods but I could see where the forest ended. there was no more canopy above us. At that moment an eagle came down and was just above and just in front of our vehicle. My wife saw it also. The bird followed us for another 2 miles to the fire station. It didnt follow off to the side or way up in the air it was about 20 feet up and about 20 feet forward of the vehicle. the road was winding and the eagle maintained his position. That really scared me. I am sure all who read this understand what I was thinking seeing that. I was 100% positive that my time here had expired. SWIM died yesterday.

SWIM is certainly going to call it quits with the shrooms all together. I hope that SWIM will still be able to voyage DMT world again some day. I hope the effect will not be the same. SWIM normally does not have that evil mind fuk when he does DMT. I havent really even described the tip of the iceberg with what happened yesterday.

heavy heavy sigh!

I'm personally glad there were no complications with the THH and ativan the medic gave you. That was probably more dangerous than anything else you did that night.

Personally, I've never had a good experience with MAOI/RIMA's and mushrooms. It feels like it does a lot more than potentiate the experience, it adds a metalic edge, and a negative energy that neither my wife nor I enjoy.

I'm glad you came out of the experience ok though.

With so many people saying things like that, I think it’s a good idea to stay away from the combination.

There could be something in the mushrooms other than psilocybin that is reacting badly with the MAOI, or maybe psilocybin itself is.

The positive reports that I’ve seen are normally reports of very small amounts of each being used. It seems that a full dose with an MAOI is primarily unpleasant with tons of bad reports out there.

I might also add to learn what makes for a good experience and remove all things that bring about bad experiences.

Bad does not = difficult. Some of my most important and healing experiences came from very difficult experiences.

I find that mushrooms and caapi is very simmilar to ayahuasca with a DMT plant. I would even say that it's virtually indistinguishable from original ayahuasca with chacruna.

The highest dose i ever took was about 30 grams of fresh cyanensis, 30 grams of mimosa CWE and a caapi extract simmilar to 50 grams of caapi.

It was by far the most powerfull psychedelic experience i ever had and there where a view times moments that i believed i had died or entered the afterlife. I also felt the presence of god at that time and i experienced timesplitting like 69ron described as well.

The weirdest thing was that time and space just totally disappeared in the sense that i couldn't estimate distances anymore as well in space as time. They just became seemingly unrelated points and events.

I think i had the happiest moment of my life that day, although i had moments of fear as well, when i realized how strong the mixture i had taken was.

I don't think it's a bad combination, depending on the type of MAOI you use. It's just something that can be extremely powerfull. I think you need to multiply the amount of shrooms by 2 or 3 to get an impression of the dose you are going to take.

I have done this combo very often and never ever had a negative experience with it. The only thing is that it is more powerfull than many people would expect.
I also never had any negative physical side effects from this combo. On the contrary even.

I believe that the combination of shrooms and caapi is fully equal to traditional ayahuasca, also in it's healing capacities.

Ice House Shaman..my advice to figure out how to go about this...it to stay sober for a little bit...maybe at least a week...

BUT you need to confront the psychedelic state again...because you dont want the fear to keep you from going back...you need to confront it...but confront it with something a little less intense...

perhaps some mescaline...or a very low dose of DMT...maybe one gram of mushrooms...just state your intent to settle your business(the fear)...and just go for it...ive been in slightly similar situations before(obviously not 200mg and 3.5 cyans but intense situations)

and you do need to revisit the psychedelic state...you will get over this...but with a new profound respect and also maybe a little bit more caution...

good luck man...we are all here for you
it's a sound

I feel fortunate right now. I also feel like a train wreck. I feel completely empty inside. I am sure with time this will subside. SWIM has been on over a thousand mushroom trips over the past 30 years. I have had some difficult ones to say the least. This was beyond difficult. SWIM died yesterday. I had never taken a dose of shrooms and a dose of maoi like that before. There was a time when I could take heroic doses of shrooms and it wouldnt effect me like it does now.

I quit drinking alcohol on Jan 1 of 08 after a decade long battle with the bottle. I also did battle with some other chemical demons, coke and meth, several years ago. So I have a couple of years now clean and sober from everything, I dont smoke weed at all. I am clean except for spice and shrooms from time to time. I used to ingest shrooms almost once a week or more back in the day. maybe my use of psychedelics back then was some what subdued or deadened a bit because of all the booze I drank. Maybe my sober mind is now hyper sensitive or less tolerant.

My plan for now is to take a week or two off. No more shrooms and MAOI , period! That was it. I think I will plan a easy 150 mg thh with 80 mg or spice and see how that goes. Normally 200mg thh and 50mg spice does little to nothing and 200mg thh and 100mg dmt is a fully psychedelic dose. I'll just see how that goes and go from there. If I ever do shrooms again it will be without maoi, and I'll start at maybe a gram and work my way up from there.

I wonder, once a person has an event like this are they more likely to experience it again?

Thanks everyone for the moral support

I think that the many substances you did take on a regular basis indeed dimmed the psychedelic effects of shrooms at that time.

I have had some very negative experiences as well, many years ago. These events can probably traumatize you and ruin psychedelic experience for the rest of your life.
But when you become familiar with the psychedelic experience again and you confront your fears, they will subside eventualy.

I think i enjoy the psychedelic experience now, more than ever. Because i had those extreme experiences and i've learned that even the very, very negative or powerfull experiences in the end didn't harm me.

I think that you can be cured from this fear and trauma for the rest of your life, if you would take a large dose of shrooms again. A large dose, but not too large to manage. A CHALLENGING dose. If you manage to see that you've survived the absolute psychedelic hell, so this dose, no matter how challenging, must be absolutely safe and something you can handle as well, and if you manage to feel totally free to do whatever you like at that dose, you're cured instantaneously.

And not only that, but you'l come out a better and stronger person then you was before the trauma occured. Because you've managed to conquer this absolute hell.

glad you're ok!
had a similar experience after taking 5g of rue and a bunch of strong cubensis (about 5g).
the dark creepy visuals were so intense, that swim thought his wife's gonna kill him  . shadows were jumping around trying to scare swim. even when the lights were turned on, nothing changed.

One additional piece of experiential information. An infusion (tea) of caapi, about 2-3 cups worth, followed by a delightful dish of fresh-picked wild mushrooms (none psychoactive, all identified by an expert mycologist prior to cooking), with a red wine and a small hit of spice an hour later led to a 3-hour whacked-out physical paralysis. Heart rate, blood pressure, EKG all 100% normal (therefore not a hypertensive reaction). Even non-psychoactive fungi contain hundreds of molecules, some very complex. My personal recommendation is to be extremely conservative on any combination of MAOIs and fungi, particularly if there are additional complexities such as a red wine which could potentiate such a follow-on reaction. Caapi and rue can be partners with DMT in a yin-yang relationship that is complimenting and deeply grounding, but great care should be taken to retrospectively consider what other foods have been consumed.

So sorry you had a difficult trip.

I tried 3 grams + 180 mg of THH for the first time this weekend and I was completely blown away by the power and beauty of the combination. I tripped alone in a darkened loft.

The mushrooms had a DMT edge to them, with the most vivid close eye visuals I have ever experienced. I spent most of the time sitting on my yoga mat with my eyes closed, but also moved around and open eyes was truly a wonderland as well.

I had conversations with the mushroom, and interesting manifestations of childhood experiences as well. Just enough psychoanalysis and weirdness mixed together. However, I always felt safe in the trip. There was a wonder and beauty to everything.

Also to note that I am normally a heard-head and normally need more than 5 grams to trip moderately strong. I tried 2 grams of mushrooms with Harmine and Harmaline, which was better than 2 grams by themselves, but nowhere near to what I had just experienced.

It felt like the best way to do mushrooms for me.

I read about the oncoming of your trip, I thought directly on woodlover-syndrome.
It hit me once, and I threw a batch of a whole winter harvest of cyanescens in the trash bin.

The feeling was so uncomfortable that I was not far from calling an ambulance!

Woodlovers should be stored properly, in effect frozen directly after drying or extract.
And woodlovers syndrome doesn't stop psychoactive effects, especially when you combine psilocybon with thh. That means feeling like having an aliment intoxication while leaving the sphere of ordinary life. No good!

I seem to be the only one who suspects woodlovre S but you should look into this. They're is a possibility that yyour shrooms were contaminated.
