Well, where to begin. The beginning seems like a good place.
My introduction to psychedelics could be said to be the first time I smoked marijuana, what an experience! I was in middle school, and those first few experiences can be so intense and revealing for a young kid. I continued with this for quite some years, well into high school and beyond. I recently quit smoking to peruse a life with a lovely lady who isn't to keen on illegal things, but was generally ok with it when we lived in a state that was legal. Her happiness is more important to me than weed.
Anyways. my first "true" psychedelic experience came my sophomore year of high school when a friend had some mushrooms. I had just gone through a pretty emotional breakuo but was surrounded by some really good friends. That trip taught me the value of good friends, and helped me accept the breakup, if she was happier without me. then I was happy for her. Having a revelation like this kind of intrigued me to the psychedelic world, but it would be years before I had any other experiences. I wouldn't exactly call street level pressed ecstasy pills a traditional psychedelic experience, but dabbled with that in high school and had some good bonding experiences with friends.
Fast forward, I'm a little older, a little wiser, have tried lsd once at this point at a party that I was mostly drunk at and couldn't make sense of the experience, but at least had one go at it under my belt. I meet a person who turns out to be like a brother, and I ended up moving in with him and his brother and wife. He puts a drop of liquid lsd on my tongue one night and I finally realize what this whole thing is all about. night of bonding, discussing theories about God, life, politics, science. The visuals were incredible, true Alex Grey-esque open eye wonders. My eyes had been opened to the way I felt psychedelics should be experienced. surrounded by love, life, good friends, nights turning into days far too quickly, breakfast at the local diner after no sleep, coffee, and napping during the day. This is what this kind of experience was all about for me. of course, I went overboard with my newfound passion for lsd. tapered off after 3 months of nearly every weekend use, and didn't have another experience for about 4 years.

This is when true magic happened. I didn't go overboard. I made lifelong friendships, I learned how to grow mushrooms, and though I didn't take it very far, I feel I got to be pretty good at it, and only grew enough for myself and my close friends. Experiences with good, as pure as I had ever found it, true MDMA, MDA, lsd, and some good DMT. learned to extract dmt, though only had ever done an extraction one time.

I'm 27 now, no longer use any psychedelics or even weed, but I grow san pedro cactus religiously. I'm more interested in completely natural plant based psychedelia at this point, and in cultivating a relationship with my plants before ever consuming them. it may be a couple years before I have another experience, but I am here to learn and contribute what little knowledge and passion I have for safe experiences.
I just recently acquired a salvia divinorum "blosser" cutting, and was driven to make an account here so I could tail on all of this wonderful communities knowledge on growing this wonderful teacher.
thanks for having me here Smile

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

Welcome to the Nexus! It is nice to meet you!

Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us. It is very relatable to my own story! Building relationships with plant teachers is a wonderful process and important for personal growth, imo! I also grow my own mushrooms and started my first little bridgesii garden last growing season. Unfortunately, I currently live in a non-legal state for weed, but hope to cultivate it whenever legal. If it didn't have such an overwhelming smell, I'd already be doing it!

Very happy

Anyway, it sounds like you've got the right idea. I think you'll do fine around here!

Have a good one!
