I am very much in support of the kind of work Dr. Gallimore and Dr. Strassman is up to-- there is far too little scientific work being done to increase our understanding of altered consciousness, especially considering all the new tools that can now be brought to bear.
I do have some reservations about the webinar, however. It's $99 dollars to participate, and payment is requirement to have a shot at being one of the 18 invited to come to the DMTx seminar. 6-8 will ultimately be selected to participate in the study at a later time.
The website states that "Most of the DMTx team has been recruited but we are looking for qualified professionals." So, I'm not clear on how many individuals will actually being invited to participate after doing in the webinar, and it's not clear what criteria will be used for the selection.
I would highly recommend that those interested view the first part of the webinar (available free at
DMTx Psychonaut Webinar Part 1 of 4). The organization is still working out where and when the study will take place, and the experiments are not expected to take place until at least Spring of 2020 (the video indicates that 'It may be 2030, but we hope not.' ).
If the webinar is primarily a fundraiser, it would serve the group well to describe it as such. If it isn't, then they should provide considerably more information to applicants before collecting fees.
Caveat Emptor.
