Medicinal Mindfulness is actively developing a program to support Extended-State DMT research. An Extended-State DMT application model was developed by Dr. Andrew Gallimore and Dr. Rick Strassman, using Dr. Strassman's data from his original DMT safety study. It was Dr. Strassman's study that ignited the current renaissance in psychedelic research.

Extended-State DMT describes a controlled DMT experience that uses "target-controlled intravenous infusion" medical technology to stabilize the DMT peak experience over an extended period of time. Whereas a typical DMT experience lasts around 15 minutes with a 6-7 minute peak, an Extended-State DMT experience could theoretically double, triple, or even extend the peak for many hours. This is due to the fact that DMT does not have a tolerance effect.

We are particularly interested in supporting this research because of the cutting edge nature of the work. During our initial research, we've discovered that the chances of research like this being supported and financed by mainstream institutions is very limited. For that reason, we are calling on the psychedelic community to step in to help us create a psychedelic research program that is specifically inspired by the interests of our community.

I am very much in support of the kind of work Dr. Gallimore and Dr. Strassman is up to-- there is far too little scientific work being done to increase our understanding of altered consciousness, especially considering all the new tools that can now be brought to bear.

I do have some reservations about the webinar, however. It's $99 dollars to participate, and payment is requirement to have a shot at being one of the 18 invited to come to the DMTx seminar. 6-8 will ultimately be selected to participate in the study at a later time.

The website states that "Most of the DMTx team has been recruited but we are looking for qualified professionals." So, I'm not clear on how many individuals will actually being invited to participate after doing in the webinar, and it's not clear what criteria will be used for the selection.

I would highly recommend that those interested view the first part of the webinar (available free at DMTx Psychonaut Webinar Part 1 of 4). The organization is still working out where and when the study will take place, and the experiments are not expected to take place until at least Spring of 2020 (the video indicates that 'It may be 2030, but we hope not.' ).

If the webinar is primarily a fundraiser, it would serve the group well to describe it as such. If it isn't, then they should provide considerably more information to applicants before collecting fees.

The question I would ask is if an "extended state" of DMT bio-activity would actually produce any substantive data? ...What is the premise?

The majority of DMT users report experiencing what is tantamount to spending hundreds (or even thousands) of years inside their DMT universe. This all happens within just a few minutes of the drug's peak level of bio-activity. So to be able to extend one's physical drug-interaction time within this extreme level of "time deflation" seems rather pointless. What would the user gain in 2000 years that he didn't gain in the first 1000 years?

This would be like tacking on another 95 hours to the movie titled, "Matrjoschka." ...What good would this do?

It seems that the only way any "new data" is gained is by way of increased dosage, method of administration or increased absorption capability.
