Hello everyone, I'm new to this fine forum you have here. I look forward to taking my time to browse through posts and get the feel for what this place can offer, and hopefully be able to offer something in return.

My psychedelic journey started about 3 years ago when I felt an affinity to try medicinal mushrooms (I try to avoid calling them magics, as I feel this term misrepresents the power those plants have). After some research I became aware that they grow abundantly in the wild around where I live, and learnt how to ID and harvest them.

I've been using them socially, spiritually, for periodically 'resetting' my mind after a few months of the daily grind that is life and for general mental health. I've also experimented a bit with microdosing...which I've decided isn't really my cup of tea, I find a few other nootropics are more helpful.

I've done LSD once as a full dose with a mate, which was pretty epic and differed greatly to shrooms, which I did not expect! I've also found microdosing it not very helpful either.

I've recently been invited to participate in a one off ayahuasca ceremony in a few weeks which I'm pretty pumped about, as it's something I've been intrigued about for many years before my first psychedelic experience, and hoping to try for the past few years. And now the time is right, so I look forward to learning from you guys and hopefully sharing with you my experiences.

I've got a pretty strong background in health sciences as far as education and occupation go, so I like to delve into the how, why and what questions about these substances and their effects on consciousness, mental and physical health.

Not to worry.

I didn't feel as if microdosing was worthwhile until I had been tripping balls on mushrooms and LSD for a good 30 years.

After all that, microdosing is a true pleasure now.

In all sincerity,

Freedom's so hard
When we are all bound by laws
Etched in the scheme of nature's own hand
Unseen by all those who fail
In their pursuit of fate
