I've had some pretty convincing experiences over the last few years, and I developed a bit of a plan on how to deal with it all that seems to work when you are concerned that you need to get back to "chopping wood and carrying water".
1. Keep a mindset of "it is always false" (no matter the experience) unless you can otherwise prove it is true. (this is chemicals or even OBE/NDE).
2. This doesn't mean the positive messages aren't what you needed to hear and they will still help. Nor that you can't take them as good advice when they are.
3. Get into philosophy: (Audible.com - Great Courses are excellent @ 10 bucks a pop, critical thinking college lectures usually last 8-20 hours each)
Descartes proves you can't trust your observations.
Metaphysics goes into why this is all most likely "internal" and what kind of proof would be required. Which leads to more questions about if 10k people can do it and no one has proof yet, wouldn't that say "there is more than likely none to be had?". Though that goes with other philosophical debates that say it could be a coin toss and no one has landed on heads yet.
4. Sleep well, 8-10 hours if you are stuck in your head.
5. Eat well. Protein!
6. Meditate or even just hum along with something like
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PU4RRoJwByM(Whatever gets you out of your own head).
7. Keep your eye on the ball. We all have our own wood to chop daily.
8. Some sort of exercise.
9. Hang out with people you wouldn't talk to this stuff about. Keeps your mind from "going there".
10. Ask for a reality check.. if you have a friend "into this stuff" and you know they are mentally healthy, let them know your thoughts and let them know you are asking them for their opinion on your state of mind, not the meme itself.
Not sure this will help anyone. Philosophy got me into a better spot to frame anything I see with logic and with that always comes doubt without proof.
Please add onto this.
