Lovely flush on that cake! Beautiful fungus, congrats. Better harvest that big one right away! I've been pretty set on cambos for my next cultivation.

that is a beautiful set of fruits. congrats! how did you set up your fruiting chamber? it seems those fellows are lacking a bit of that fresh air exchange (fae) i.e. getting fuzzy feet have you tried spawning to bulk? even with a straight vermiculite bulk substrate (although i'd advise pasteurized coir) there are significant greater results than while doing pf cakes, and it does not implicate much work. try it next time! Very nice!! How many grams did you get out of that one cake dried out? Also, since Kaaos mentioned fuzzy feet and fresh air exchange, would one not want to eat the fuzz on the bottom of the stem, ie, would you remove the fuzz or cut the shroom off just above the fuzz line? no need to worry about it. it is just mycellium crawling up the stems (aerial mycelium) so it is a part of the fruit as the stem and cap are. I love rye cakes... 100% rye cakes don't cantam once they are fully colonized, ive never had even one go bad until it was totally spent Regarding eating, every part of the mushroom and mycelium is totally edible, I have ate rice cakes in the past, cut them open checked for infection then just ate them, it works really well! I love the look of albino penis envy they are one for the list Peace I am certifiably insane, as such all posts written by me should be regarded as utter nonsense or attempts to get attention in fact everything I write here is a lie !

Rye cakes, why not. Nice return. I just cased some rye and popcorn substrate. I will give you all some nice pin porn when it happens. This is entirely up to the fungus and it has a timing that you can't mess with. Not tonight honey. Fill the earth and multiply, it's gOds divine plan. One casing a little to wet, I gave it a little more and this is what happens.. so I took the cover off. Both these are the Popcorn substrate and cased at the same time... so too wet is no good. The Rye is doing fine.. Old Crow attached the following image(s): HPIM2724.JPG (1,437kb) downloaded 355 time(s). HPIM2723.JPG (1,485kb) downloaded 356 time(s).

And why to wet you may ask? Well I read.. some where.. that if you spray your casing (that is already at field capacity moisture) with just a little more water.. till the surface just glistens, it will be very happy. Ah... nope. This is what happened when I tested that theory out, fact be known.
