There has been a plethora of fictional stories over the years of people burying bodies or ashes in with a plant (usually weed) which, when consumed, allowed the spirit of the dead person to appear as a ghost to the smoker. Trite idea which has been done to death (if you pardon the pun).

However, consider all we know about the magic of harmalas and DMT... and then imagine if someone was buried with "the vine of the dead". Knowing that the person's remains had fueled the very plant that was then to be consumed would be... okay, somewhat creepy- but also kind of special?

Imagine if the early users of caapi knew this, and practiced this in secret to hold onto the memories of their ancestors?

Very happy Of course, I'm just rambling on. However if there ever was a plant that held some probability of connecting the spirit world to the physical one, it would have to be something psychoactive!

Cool idea I'm assuming you've seen How High?I've heard tell of people being buried under apple trees and such, their family consuming the fruits. Drinking some human-fed caapi sounds no worse. I agree, it could even be a nice way to honor the dead.

Who knows, maybe some ancient shamans have died near ayauasca Vines and fertilized them...

for sure will be bettere to be buried down an ayahuasca vine than in a cementery closed in a wooden box down 3 meters of cement...
i think that burned and spread the ashes in a river or in a garden will be better... you will fed more plant at the same time and the gas you produce will fly all over the world with the wind and help to make the ozone hole bigger... you polluter!
i'm just joking... but i think that if you chose to be buried down a aya vine and you die let's say in sweden is a bit difficult to do it but you can still be burned and make someone bring that ashes to somewhere a vine lives.

Haha wow, yes I remember that film! Feels like centuries ago, but yes!

Perhaps the key to eternal life \ eternal consciousness lies in these magical plants... die, get buried, plug into the vine and visit people on their aya travels for eternity! Thumbs up
