Let's collect some dreams here.
(ya know, the other ~33% of your life)

About a year ago almost every dream I had had this recurring theme of "about to fall off"
I would always be right on the edge of a cliff, or a high rooftop, or something, about to fall off,
and this concept would manifest in every which way for a long time.

One night I was climbing the inner walls of a tube-like rock...like a gigantic well.
there was a lush forest at the top, everything smelled redwood dank and mossy.
I remember becoming lucid while climbing the inside of this rock...
which I realized was scary and difficult Cool
I then noticed a glowing green symbol illuminating from the rock in this tiny spot right in front of my face.
That's when I let go and fell....

wow I get chills just thinking about that fall..down..down...down....dark....nothingness. just a snoring body somewhere else.

I never had one of those "on the edge" dreams again, which was quite a menacing reflection of my own life at the time.

Although those glowing green symbols I have seen all over the place in hyperspace/astral/dreams...
Like in half-lotus meditation with my palms pressed
GIGANTIC stone gears begin to lurch in the darkness of my minds sky
illuminated by the light of my eye
a spotlight of consciousness focusing on the turning of complex gear work
and on the edges of each notch is a different glowing bright green symbol
all of this dependent on the pressure of my palms pressed...

it's funny how consciousness can take an "idea" seemingly out of nowhere and elaborate on it in ways that resemble reality itself, or an alternate reality for this matter.

My most profound dreams have been on airplanes, 30,000 ft. in the air. hmmmm...

You can induce out of body experiences sober via sleep paralysis. The technique is called "wake induced lucid dreaming" and google will show you the way.
(sometimes it works backwards and is an IBE inbody experience...I can recall being in my veins somewhere observing the flow of cells. it was extremely loud in there!)

ramble on...

i like this thread.

I had a cool dream style last night that I havnt had in a while. I have stopped smoking cannabis for a little while so my clarity has returned in the dream state.

The dream was rather quick however it did involve a whole lot of flying. I find that whenever I try to successfully fly in a dream it is a natural method of travel that feels very very familiar... it begins with a special movement of my shoulders and follows with a sensation of being pulled up into the air. I can then lean into the direction I want to travel and glide quickly wherever I need to go. Very rarely do I ever travel higher than tree or say power line height... There was no lucidity last night but it was night to have a focussed dream that wasnt clouded by excess thc Pleased

I have also had a lot of dreams lately that involve portals of sorts... lots of different dorways into other realms... usually covered with some kind of energy membrane that I have to pass through...

Since I started working with DMT it also very regularly enters my dreams... it is very interesting how it becomes intwined in our consciousness on many levels.

Where to start.... lol...

So after I discovered passionflower changa it has been hard to NOT lucid dream almost every night, even after stopping changa for a few weeks.
My dreams have crossed over a lot into my personal reality. Dreams in familiar places with old friends.

Lately in at least one dream a night I will do a handstand and walk around on my hands.
Ive also discovered a faster way of walking that incorporates jumping and skipping. Infinite stamina ftw.

Had some really depressing dreams a few nights ago involving a girl and a lot about my future life.
Other than that Im smiling in every dream and exploring all the cool places.

Ill start collecting if I have any interesting dreams in the near future.
The above is quoted from www.google.com

I had probabily the most amazing and longest lucid dream of my life 2 nights ago..I was in complete awe and ecstacy when I woke up..and I went back 2 more times with my lucidity that night..

I was walking through some place thathad endless tidepools(the ocean) and lots of snow..lots of military tents were set up and it looked as if some sort of emergency town had been set up..

It was all very strange but I was fully aware that i was dreaming..I was walking around trying to take it all in..I remember talking to this one man about how I was dreaming and that he might not exist etc..he said "thats what it's like when you cross over"..I couldnt exert any controll really over the dream though.. I treid to make an old gf that i wanted to see appear and was unable to..Dunno what that means but the first thing I tried to do was see her..

I was there for about 30 or 40 minutes in dream time! Which is awesome..I dont think I ever lasted more than 2 minutes before..I just kept walking around exploring this dream place in bisbelief of the fact that I was lucid dreaming..it was so immersive like a virtual dimension..more so than any plant I ever took..I remember looking at the trees alot and the way the snow lined the branches and the sun light reflected off of them..

Tried to go back last night but it didn't happen..

Lucid dreaming is amazing..I want to master it sooo bad..become some sort of dream wizard.
Long live the unwoke.

Before I ever used psychedelics I would attmept WILD all the time becasue sleep paralysis is a normal thing for me to get at least 2 times a week..had some success BUT wilds are differnt from anything else..more like a trip becasue you have to "go through" so to speak and put up with all the heavy vibrations..usually I probe the surface the dreamworld, check it out for 20 seconds or so while wilding but the vibrations and dissolution freak me out and I pull out and wake up..sometimes I have made it past the violent vibrations though..they feel like being electricuted..

My last lucid dream was a WILD but I didnt get those vibrations and stuff, and wasnt trying to WILD at all, dont know why..sometimes it's like that..but most of the time I feel the sleep paralysis first..

I have had ones where I suddenly become lucid as well but they are harder to remember for me/more fleeting..
Long live the unwoke.

Hmmmm interesting.

I came across this stuff at the weekend
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mucuna_pruriens

Has anyone ever heard of it before. It contains nicotine, bufotenine, dmt, 5-meodmt, seretonin and l-dopa the precursor to dopmaine.
Apparently it is used in some aya brews in the amazon, but i was more intersted in what it says about lucid dreaming.

Mucuna pruriens has also recently become popular among lucid dreaming enthusiasts: when combined with other supplements that stimulate the cholinergic system, the dopamine presumably produced from the consumption of Mucuna pruriens confers upon the lucid dreamer greater motivation and confidence.

What suppliments would stimulate the cholinergic system?

^I think tropanes found in datura act as anti-cholinergics, but then have a rebound effect and that is why they stimulate dreams..

Very low doses like 3 seeds are popular among lucid dreamers..lots of talk on LD forums about micro-doses of tropanes..

I have had some very interesting lucid experiences drinking a very small ammunt of ayahuasca halfway through the night..wake up at like 4 am and take a gulp and lay back down..
Long live the unwoke.

That's a freakin awesome idea. I was actually thinking today about maybe drinking some mimosa just before I fall asleep. I personally don't think I'll need an maoi once my body is asleep so the mimosa should do something. Hopefully to that part that is conscious in that dream state. I think tonight though, I'll try what you said and get up at like 4, 4 30 take a gulp of mimosa n caapi, and go back to bed. I'm going to actually experiment on this more than once. I'm very excited about this, I think there would be a lot of benefit if you did this everyday for like 2 weeks..

at about 4.30 I drank about 7g worth of caapi and 7g worth of mimosa in greentea. After a few minutes I noticed how clear everything seemed to look and move as I was changing the track on my mp3 player. I must admit my dreams where very clear, like I was actually awake, but not knowing I was. The most interesting point in my dreaming was when I was staying in an empty old victorian kinda house on my own, and the room I went into to sleep was the same as my room, but very old, like a victorian kinda look to it. At this point it was all very clear, I was very awake and I'm surprised that I didn't even suspect that I'm dreaming. I lay on the bed in this dark room, just thinking as I normally do, and I thought the rooms too cold, so, I got up to turn the light on, and it didn't work! but I never clicked on at this point, whenever a light doesn't work the first thing I think is "I'm dreaming" instead I was like why the fuck ain't the light working very calmly. The radiator worked? but was being a bit freaky, which got me suspicious, but I still didn't realise I was sleeping. Anyway I just stood in the dark with my back against the wall just thinking about how I'm feeling, trying to make myself feel more positive. I closed my eyes and I could see particals of light swirling about and stuff which I thought was interesting.

There was some very clear moments in my dreaming, and I remember it all connecting up well.

Tonight I'm going to try it again, maybe up the dose a bit to see if theres an amplification of contrast to what my dreams are normally like.

I could feel it building a bit, but I had to sleep, I was too tired. Thing is though, I've slept for about 8hrs today, dreaming was pretty clear, but I'm wondering where my conscious was in the hours just after I fell asleep..

I don't think I had that much caapi, I didn't shake it because I wanted to drink the clear bit on top.

Yeah if you have enough stuff to play about with then you may aswell. I'm interested in knowing what would happen if one was to take a full dose then fall asleep straight after..

The earliest dream I can remember, was when I must have been 3 or 4 years old. The setting for this dream was remarkably like the painting Edgedancer by Michael Whelan (which you can find in the nexus art section). There were a few differences to my setting though. The ground (if you can call it that) was more rock-like than grassy, and the path was straighter and without gaps.

I was walking along this cliff edge with about 5 or 6 people, one of them being Luke Skywalker. There were crashing waves at the bottom of each cliff, with giant fierce crocodiles in the water, so big and strong that the waves had no effect on their being there. I was extremely scared and I said, "I want to go home." At this point a giant appeared out of the sky and threw me back home into my bed, at which point I woke up with a scream, "Muuuuuuuuum! Daaaaaaaaad!"

A recurring dream I had a few times as a child, was not necessarily a recurring dream in the strictest sense. Each time I had to get to this place, it was the same place each time, but the setting was vastly different. I had to get to this place, because it was an amazing; happy place to be, and felt so right. Not just a happy place to be, but absolute paradise to my very core.

One time "the place" was a dark room, with a light in it, similar to looking at a movie projector in the cinema. Another time it was a glorious old cathedral with an inflatable castle in the middle. One time it was in a department store, and another time it was a giant fun warehouse with cargo net structures all over, which you could climb, and run through, and all kinds of wonderful things.

As I got older came the floating dreams. In these dreams I could choose to float. It was a power I had, and was thrilled to discover, and I just wanted to show off and impress people. These dreams all followed the same pattern. I'd find out I could float, would be ecstatic that I actually could this time, and that it wasn't a dream. Then I'd go and show off and amaze people, then I'd wake up.

When I smoked cannabis I eventually didn't dream at all, or at least I have absolutely zero recollection of actually dreaming. When I stopped smoking cannabis, the dreams started to flood back.

One of these dreams included a famous (in the dream) waterfall I wanted to visit. I had a model of this waterfall as an ornament and couldn't wait to see the real thing. I took a pilgrimage to this water fall, to be disappointed in finding out that the real thing was a model too, just a bit bigger than my ornament.

Another of these dreams was another; long lost floating dream, which took a sinister turn. I attended a dance/drama studio where this lady was holding classes on how to float a couple of feet of the floor. Of course I decided to show off my floating skills, which had no height limit.

The teacher and the class were very impressed with my amazing floating skill. I decided to give my audience on more float, and really go for it. I made it all the way to celing height, when some force over-powered me. The lady said in a terrified voice, "Oh no, two evil forces are pulling him in different directions at the same time" At which point absolute terror filled me and I woke up.

The last of my bizzare, vivid, cannabis turkey dreams occured in an old hospital. I was walking through the hospital and could hear piano music. I eventually happened upon a good friend of mine (in real life) who was playing the piano (very well I might add). The strange thing was, the piano was just a table, with screwdrivers on it, and he was just pressing the screwdrivers.

Sorry for the length of this post, but I tried to include the highlights of some of my dreams over my 28 years of life so far.

Peace, and Sweet Dreams

I went lucid last night..machines had come alive and were trying to kill me..I was running down the street trying to get away, leaping over the evil cars and trucks driving at me..

FUCK this I thought..and jumped into the air and flew away! Instantly I realized I was dreaming and flew over my neighbourhood and looked down at the stores and houses..it was amazing..and then about 20-30 seconds later I freaked a bit for some reason, lost it and fell to the ground..before I hit I went back into my body and into sleep paralysis..where I stayed for about 2 or 3 minutes of HELL..

I thought I had done it..I could not wake my body up..I was in limbo..I had astral hands grabbing at my face thinking they were my real hands..I kept wondering why I wouldnt wake up even though I was slapping myself and pocking my eyes etc..until I finally woke up for real..it was freaky.
Long live the unwoke.

SWIM never experienced sleep paralysis or lucid dreaming before he tried psychedelics for the first time. Some time after his 4th trip or so he started to experience sleep paralysis and instances where he would wake up in the middle of the night and see these hallucinations/ghosts.

He could easily tell the difference between the two because during sleep paralysis he would try to move as hard as he could but fail to do so, while at the same time feeling incredibly scared. Then SWIM would wake up and be extremely aware that he was just in a dream state.

When it came to waking in the middle of the night seeing things SWIM was able to move though he never tried to, also SWIM wasn't afraid at all. He would lie in bed for 15-30 seconds waiting for the visions to fade then get up turn on the lights and feel like there's a weird aura in the room so he would go and sit at his PC for a bit then go back to sleep when he stopped feeling uncomfortable.

At first SWIM really thought he might have messed himself up with psychedelics, but considering he had only a few trips under his belt and usually needed high doses to trip, about 2-3 times more what his friends would take, he came to the conclusion that maybe he got more sensitive to the supernatural.

So in hopes to deal with it he tried meditation, which brought interesting results. Though SWIM only did it a couple of times he experienced a kind of glossolalia where he would hold a note/sound for longer than he could, while at the same time feeling that it was extremely natural to him but when he tried to stop it he couldn't. When SWIM tried to recreate the sound after he couldn't do it.

A week later he tried meditating again, while this time it was uneventful it did influence his dream state. Dreaming that SWIM was trying to explain something to a friend of his, mid-dream SWIM realized he was dreaming and said to his friend in the dream: "Why am I trying to explain this to you when I'm dreaming I'll tell you tomorrow when I see you." And then he just kept sleeping till morning with no dreams.

One of the most interesting things that happened to him though was when he was sleeping and dreamed that he was in his room right before sleep paralysis kicked in. He would feel half paralyzed and feel that if he could get to the lights he could prevent sleep paralysis. But if he didn't make it in time he would be at the mercy of the visions to come. So falling of the bed and half crawling/crouching to the light switch while his body was extremely heavy, tingly and uncooperative he moved closer to the light but kept clumsily falling because he felt extremely dizzy as if the room was spinning. Finally after turning the lights on he woke up immediately. What impressed him the most though was that like in sleep paralysis he saw his room exactly the way it is.

Recently SWIM's sleep paralysis has been rare and not scary at all. While what he sees does look menacing and he can't move he's not afraid.

Truthfully SWIM is not sure what to think about this. When he told this to his friends they said that he was doing meditation wrong, that he's crazy and that he probably messed himself up with mushrooms. Though everyone is kinda negative, SWIM believes that everything is okay.

Wow SWIM usually doesn't write much, guess SWIM really wanted to share this with everyone. So thank you for reading, and sorry it's a bit long.

I just woke up from having quite a weird dream. The dream went like this:

In the dream I wake up only to realize I overslept and now have no time to study for my upcoming test. I start freaking out shouting and panicking. Slowly my panic accumulates and when it seems that it's going to come to it's breaking point the perspective changes instantly, yet very smoothly, as if zooming out on a galactic level.

Now instead of seeing myself completely, as if in 3rd person, like I did when I was panicking; I have the first person view and through my eyes I see my hands holding a book. The book is at the contents page which shows all the chapters. It goes from prologue to chapter X (I think). Chapter I is the only one that is written in bold and I realize that's what I was reading. That all that panicking was me reading a book about me and being completely engrossed in the experience. "What a cosmic joke" I think at this moment in the dream and smirk.

Finally the perspective changes one last time. I'm lying on my bed and there's a shadowy figure ahead of me, instantly I realize it's similar to sleep paralysis, yet I start laughing maniacally, kinda like the joker. The shadowy figure start entering my mouth but it feels like I'm absorbing it willingly on my part. And when I finish absorbing it I wake up.

Upon waking up the first think I thought was about the part with the book, and that if life was really like that it would really be one cosmic joke.
