I've recently been pondering over the idea of teleportation and its implications on an individual's conscious experience.
The theory of teleportation suggests that to achieve this an individual would be broken down to their fundamental building blocks and the information about these unique building blocks would then be encoded onto blank building blocks at the chosen destination of the traveller, rebuilding them from scratch.

This process essentially destroys the original copy.
The copy would be indistinguishable from the orginal.
All memories until the point of the teleportation process would be contained within the copy.
As far as anybody who knows the teleported individual is concerned, this person is the person they know.

My question is, based on your belief of consciousness, would the teleported individual still be experiencing the same consciousness as before? Or would they essentially be 'somebody else'?
