Sometimes watching the slow collapse of western civilization on my TV does make me feel that way, though.

Sometimes i feel like "What's everybody doing?", "don't these people know we don't NEED to exploid others and contribute to warfare and slavery?" or "don't they care?".

Fortunately i found out that i looked at it the wrong way. All those people do know and they also do care. They're just too scared to say it.

I think that entheogens disconnect you from all the negativity and lack of compassion and community that we have in our society. I would say that they open our eyes to what is really going on and they create more sensitivity and understanding. So I think I would rather look at it as entheogens reconnect us to our true nature as human beings, but i definitely feel disconnected from the mind set of general society with all the war and hatred and the destruction of the environment and all the suffering that animals and people experience on a every day to day basis.

I would have to say that people are greatly desensitized these days from their own choices that they make in their lives and i don't think its a fact that they are to scared i think its just easier for them to choose to be ignorant sadly. Human life is no longer precious, as a matter of fact no life is treasured anymore, I am definitely disconnected from that perspective of society. I have always been a very sensitive person and i think that entheogens magnify the sensitivity that i have in me, compassion and love for all sentient beings grows more and more inside of me everyday.

I love the Nexus, all of you are amazing and special people and i am honored to have found the nexus and to now be apart of a community that i can finally see eye to eye with.

I would just like to echo these sentiments. Before using entheogens, I was a bigot filled with much loathing. I felt I had been wronged by life, betrayed by god, and had an incredible social paranoia. While I was and am still outgoing, I felt like everyone had it out for me, so I had it out for them. I was consumed in pity and loathing for myself, and sought out the worlds method for happiness. It didn't work. What started as a curiousity for a high that would bring me to another realm, percipitated by a tiny mushroom, ended in a long journey that pulled me out of the dark cloud that had condensed over my life. Now that I have been able to seperate myself from the world and those that make up its aristocracy, I see it for what it really is. Its a sham. People breaking their backs for others so they can earn pieces of paper with the faces of dead presidents printed on them. Then they trade these pieces of paper for shit that they think will make them happy. These pieces of paper keep people divided. They keep the poor hungery, and the rich at the top of the pyramid.

What's funny is that money used to be relatively easy to come by. It gave people mass amounts of liesure time. Liesure time that was applied towards creativity and invention. There is no more of that. Now money is to hard to come by for most people to be motivated enough to apply their genous. But survival is still easy enough where they don't have to be inventive out of pure neccessity. Intellectual diversity is shrinking down to a pool of the educated, and this is not good! Something needs to change, now.

There's someone in my head but it's not me

I too have felt disconnected for a long time. I didn't understand it until earlier this year, but for my whole life I have felt different, at odds with the society around me. I always knew it just wasn't right, that there was something missing, that things felt out of place. That feeling has only grown over the last year, but now theres an understanding of what is going on. The old is falling away, a new beginning awaits, but not until enough people wake up from the illusion that has been pulled down over their eyes.

Pssilocibinnn, you are being given the chance to clear out the old. If old things are happening to you again, there are lessons to be learned in order for you to move on to the next stage of your awakening. Take the bad feelings and make them good, figure out how to turn them into a positive, look at them from a different angle or perspective. In doing that you resolve and move on. It is hard, no one said it would be easy, but you are the change you want to see in the world. It must be centered in yourself before it can expand outward.

Sit, meditate, be at peace. Read, challenge old paradigms, think. The answers are out there, if you are willing to ask the questions...
What, you ask, was the beginning of it all?
And it is this...

Existence that multiplied itself
For sheer delight of being
And plunged into numberless trillions of forms
So that it might
Find
Itself
Innumerably.

Fractal Enchantment

Why thank you, i am very much humbled by your comments. I do my best every day to spread as much love and compassion as i can as i see very little of it around these days. It really warms my heart that my posts make some sort of small positive difference. I am greatly inspired by your posts Fractal, often i feel we are on exactly the same page. Your are a bright and shining light my friend. Thank you so much for your kind words. Rolling eyes

I for one can hear what you are all saying. And yes,i understand your predicament and i for one have shared this feeling.

But i fear its not just me or you or us,its all of us.We,over time, have forgotten what it means to be together and have common understandings.

Since my use of spice and salvia,i can say that moreso now,i have never felt more interconnected. Its taken me a long time, and the use of psychedelics,to make me realise we all have a place here,a part in the same family
...we just all reach home at different times.

I've got to agrree with you here. as ive gotten older ive found myself being pushed away from my friends... its like all they do is think for themselves... at this age no-one really has "friends" they just have people they hang around with, some people need to wake up and find out that its not all just about self benefit.
Sir Terrence McKenna: "and what is real: is you, and your friends, and your associations, your highs, your orgasms your hopes your plans your fears... and were told. no. we're unimportant, we're peripherial. get a degree, get a job, get a this, get a that. and then your a player, (but) you dont even want to play that game? (well) you want to re-claim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers: who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash thats being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world. ¿where is that at?"

"But now technology throws a curve. and the curve is that we live so long, that we figure out what a scam this is. we figure out that what your supposed to work for isn't worth having, we figure out that our politicians are buffoons, we figure out that professional scientists are reputation building gravitating weasels. we discover that all organizations are corrupted by ambition. we figure. it. out... and as you come to see that you are alienated you realise that culture is not your friend."
