I just wanna post a couple pics of my progress with the extraction process. The crude product was a result of 100g mhrb, consisting of 6 75ml naphtha pulls, which resulted in a yellow 2.4g's, approximately. The pure(r) crystals are the result of 2 heptane ReX's (the intent was to purify, not grow crystals. That will come next...), resulting in appx. 1g purified product. Also, I just did 64g caapi extraction, but only netted appx. 150mg alks. Could be my unfamiliar technique as much as quality of vine, but I digress. I was thinking of either smoking or taken sublingually 30mg/time prior to vaping. Until I acquire more for changa/pharma ... Any suggestions? Could you elaborate more on the technique (A/B? STB? ATB? ...), kinds and amounts of chemicals, temperatures etc.?
I tried several Teks with and without several tweaks and never got over 1.1% yield. I think it was bad MHRB but since you have such great result, could you describe how you got to it?
Thanks!

My guess would be the bark, also. My primary source gave me a 2.3% yield my 1st extraction, a secondary source 2.4 this 2nd extraction. That 2.4% yield is crude product tho, as you can see in the initial photo I uploaded. I did a stb, noman's tek, at room temperature except after combining lye water & mhrb I did a heat bath for 2 hrs. I'm already pulling a lot of additional alks. & such that applying heat for me is needless. I personally love the effectiveness of heptane, so next time I'm going to do cybs hybrid tek with heptane pulls. I'm hoping this will pull a white/barely impure product. But let me just say that if the 1.1% yield you're getting is clean-ish like my refined spice, we're getting just about the exact same yield, as after reXing I'm left w/ slightly over 1g. If you wanna know anything else, just ask. "Behind the visible are chains on chains of conscious beings ... who have no inherent form but change according to their whim, or the mind that sees them. If you wanna know anything else, just ask. did you re-x all the spice? if not, vape the same amount of both and compare the potency. It would be interesting. great result, btw.

I reX'd all of it, but experimented prior to purification. I've cataloged the effects and will report back after ceremony tomorrow to compare/contrast. If you're losing half your yield in a re-x, it sounds like you're using way too much solvent. The 'crude' extract didn't look that dirty. βThere is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work." β Jacques Bergier, quoting Fulcanelli

Rather than the recommended 1:1 ratio of bark:solvent, I did 1:.75, but as you said it seems too much still. Next extraction I'm thinking of going as low as 1:.5 or even .4. To me personally, the initial spice was ok, but smoking it was really harsh in comparison to my first batch of crystals. And this being only my 2nd extraction, I wanted to obtain pure(ish) n,n. But I've still got all the additional alkaloids from the reX (which when dried has actually taken the form of dmt to some degree, at least as far as appearance goes, just extremely yellow). But yes, I agree; less solvent will be used the next go around. I was thinking using heptane for the extraction itself, but maybe I'll stick to naphtha for the extraction and see how less works in terms of pulling less additional alks. Thx for the response. (I meant too much solvent in the re-X, but look at burnt's recent thread about 1 long pull vs 3 short ones if you haven't already) βThere is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. I used 25ml/g, which for 2.4g was 60ml. With an additional 5ml put in to retrieve anything left behind, & FP separately. Obviously I'm at the very beginning of my forray into alchemical self-sufficient, so I'm open to any & all suggestions.
