Where Obtusifolia grows in the East, the Dharawal people observed more variations in seasons than the conventional Autumn-Winter-Spring-Summer cycle.
They had six seasons.
They observed more rain in Autumn and in Spring.
Wet cool(ing) and wet warm(ing), respectively.
During the Summer and the Winter it remains relatively dry.
It would make sense that during these wetter periods the plants enter a period of increased, sustained growth... But that's speculation.
I agree, maybe even an entire Acacia sub-forum(?)would be a good idea. Or an Acacia FAQ.
The plant life might even catch a break too!
