truth is a pathless land

I had an interesting breakthrough last night (ah-ha breakthrough, not DMT breakthrough). In one of my last posts here I shared that I was going to give psychedelics a break for a while, so I guess I kind of lied. But, I realized I had never tried mixing MJ with K and was curious since both can be quite psychedelic on their own. I tried it and the experience was very unique and, perhaps by chance, amazing...

I'm still processing, but the overall experience that unfolded was that existence is born of consciousness and not the other way around (maybe there's a chicken/egg problem?). In my visions I perceived our universe as a layer within many. Each universe was dreamed/imagined by another consciousness from the previous layer. This pattern of consciousnesses dreaming realities continued forever and formed a tree or soup of infinite consciousness dreaming and perceiving those dreams.

Each dreamed reality gave birth to its own life which in turn dreamed new realities with new life. Each dream and the life within it was part of its dreamer, so the new life and the dreamer were actually one in the same but with different perceptions. Because this was an infinite and continuous process all dreamers were also one in the same. Thus, there was really just one overarching consciousness doing all the dreaming. Let's call it God. We are are also conscious dreamers so we are also god. I know this is a very unoriginal line of thought in psychonautics but I had never personally had an experience completely and intensely bent on the topic. "Row, row, row your boat" has new meaning to me now!

During this experience I was able to open my eyes and fumble with my laptop to look at Alex Grey's Godhead and Net of Being paintings which I recalled were made to convey a similar idea. Although I was envisioning it a bit differently, those paintings very much resonated with what I was experiencing in the moment.

So, in this line of thought it seemed that maybe DMT allowed us to visit a reality of our own dreaming, continuing the pattern of creation. Within that reality life emerged and became the entities that were so eager to greet us upon arrival. I suppose if our dreamer/creator appeared we would also be excited for and welcoming of its visit.

It could also be that the reason many things in our physical reality don't work as expected or make sense at their extremes (time, light, and quantum mechanics, e.g.) is because such extremes are outside the scope of our dreamer's imaginings.

Of course I have no idea how anything actually works, but after this I have a greater feeling that consciousness begets existence and not the other way around, or at least that they are two sides of the same coin. I think there is a lot of further exploration to do here but this was a great experience. If anyone has had similar visions on this or has comments I would love to hear them.
