hello friends,
ive been hanging out around the forums and reading alot of confusing guides. my question to those savy of the process would be which guide to follow? considering many users on this forum are up to date with most of the teks i think its fair to say they would know which ones are worthwhile and all. so im posing the question.
what tek would you recommend and why?
thanks very much, spreading the love soon enough-
suicybe

all input is welcome, im trying to just get the ball rolling!

depends onwhat you want..do you want a tek to get the full spectrum of light alkaloids from mimosa or do you want only the DMT to be pulled?..personally I like all of them pulled to get the full jurema experience..but some like DMT by itself..
Long live the unwoke.

I think it's good to start off with an STB, as there's less to go wrong. Then depending on the results you want, alter the solvent you use. Obviously different solvents require different processes to get the alkaloids out. I recommend a limonene pull Smile, but freeze preicpitating naphtha is probably the easier way to go.

Jorkest's Fumaric Acid TEK

First of all:
You use Limonene as a solvent.
Which means you gain a natural product without bad smell!

And you can either proceed and convert it into freebase (for smoking) or just use the salt orally.

I personally prefer oral consumption.

I suggest an A/B extraction. While it takes a bit longer than a STB, less can go wrong. If you take a look at the threads for STB and for A/B you will see there are alot more issues going on with STB such as losing Naphtha in the mimosa sludge, weird final products with some sort of red impurities, and no yields. There is more danger with STB as well. Making such a concentrated lye solution can be an issue. If it splashes out it can burn your skin, blind you in seconds, and can make a real mess. A/B extraction don't have you bring the ph anywhere's near as high as a STB. A pH of 11.5-12.5 is more than enough..in fact I no longer even measure pH anymore, as soon as the red mimosa wine turns black and I can see the white DMT falling out I know it is ready.

A/B on the other hand has a few benefits

a) you can defat before basifiying to get extremely pure spice
b) you can milk the mimosa for every last drop of spice, increasing your yield of DMT (yes STB's seem to get more, but there are A LOT of impurities in there, making up for the difference)
c) you use a lot less lye, which is becoming harder to find, also you can subsitute the base for KOH, or Sodium Carbonate (lye still is best)
d) there is no need for massive clean up of your spice when you are done. STB spice is pretty harsh and usually requires a bit of cleanup (recrystalization, washes, etc).
e) the smell of mimosa and vinegar in a crock pot is a great smell.

I've done both many times now, and I'm pretty much done with the quick and easy STB.

The Limonene tek seems to have quite a few more steps, I don't advise it for a first timer.

I am certifiably insane, as such all posts written by me should be regarded as utter nonsense or attempts to get attention.

I don't know SWIM and personally don't trust him at all. If SWIM is posting, most likely I will not respond...as I said, I don't trust the guy. YOU I trust, but never SWIM.

Ive only ever used A/B, I have no chemistry backround so there no problem there, start with small amounts(100gr), and you should get pretty clean results. Once you get the hang of whats going on, you can move on to more advanched methods. This all depends on what type of knowledge you have and what equipment you have at your use.

PS... stick to the intructions of the extraction method, dont get you shit mixed up, plan what your going to do, do the research and be safe.
