Hello i'm new here, this is such an informative and helpful community. I have brewed ayahuasca the first time, and I used the recipe on here https://erowid.org/chemi...a/ayahuasca_info9.shtml. But I only been able to get a hold of both shredded mimosa and caapi still I tried the recipe anyway, it did not work well. so if I use the shredded what amount should i use each? 80 gram caapi and 5 gram for each dose? It would be great if you can answer this.
And second, I used the white egg tek on mimosa, I'm a bit confused about this so do I do it on caapi and mimosa or just mimosa? If possible please link me or tell how to do the white egg tek right. Thank you.

You could find it yourself doing more study, which is always advocated, imperative part the whole. But I'll spoil one for ya, found on the ayahuasca forum:
Quote:
1. First of all, never do this on a reduced brew, but only on the portions that are not reduced.
2. Use one egg white (NO YOLKS!) per quart or liter.
3. Make sure your brew is slightly acidic (or it won't work right - at least ph6)
4. Add the one egg white to your quart/liter of unreduced brew and whisk with a whisk.
5. The egg whites will turn the brew cloudy. Boil for about 5 minutes or so until you can see the brew clearly separate into a totally clear golden fraction. This happens rather suddenly as soon as the egg whites become fully cooked. If it doesn't make a clear separation despite cooking thoroughly past 8 minutes, you should add a little vinegar and it will force separation.
6.Filter the brew through cloth or coffee filter and discard the pinkish- colored egg whites (the pink is the color of the tannins). This is very simple, since the egg whites are cooked and won't clog the filter. Do not try to proceed to filtration unless YOU HAVE ACHIEVED separation in step 5! This will clog your filter, and you'll know you did it wrong. The brew should filter through as easily as water!

Do 1-6 for each quart of unreduced brew, then reduce as normal.

Can be done on all wood as far as I know. Reports of potentiality loss are contradicting, maybe dependable on process factors and subjectivity.

Ceremonial caapi dose: 50 gr dry wood, you could start with 30 though.
Mimo: beginners 3 gr, build up from there. Never ever had to go beyond 7 gr.
People stating/needing 10 or + mimo are imho compensating weak workflow with more material. Or 'immune' to degree. That erowid article describes 12 gr mimo but they have NOT shredded NOR powdered so they loose a lot of potential with big pieces of wood, harder to extract. Finely shredded or powder you need only 1/3 of it, sort off.

It's actually no fun when it rises, expect feeling drenched to death, gotta love the payoff section mostly. It's a dreadful therapy. It works for many, not for all. Check contraindicated meds!!! Mind set & setting.
Blessed be.

Thank you so much, I didn't do the egg white tek right, probably because people describe it only "put egg white in unreduced brew to get rid of tannin" but didn't state the whole process.
