Hi,

Something comes to mind as I write this, and I imagine that it can be said about many different things, not just this. I’ve noticed a lot of pompousness within communities of people regarding dmt. The primary attitude I find disconcerting is one of a silent but prevalent arrogance concerning the exclusivity of a select few who are “entitled” to use a certain substance (dmt) and are more valuable as individuals than the majority of others who are not so privileged. That, and also the mentality that those do use dmt on a regular basis are more knowledgable and deserving of respect than others, and generally “better” than others. I’m not making any assumptions or judgements here, quite the contrary; I’m simply stating my observations. I also noticed a tendency of some people to look down at others based on their own narrow perception and biases. Please help me to understand based on your experiences if what I’m saying makes any sense or has any relevance to anyone. I understand that there is no one correct viewpoint, and since we all have several, that can make for a very confusing collective worldview, with everyone’s thoughts, opinions, ideas, and beliefs overlapping and intertwining and coming into conflict with each other. Thanks and have a good day,

gurud

There's something about these quick moments of pure philosophical revelation or witnessing that, in conjunction with the first-person role playing animal brain, that can feed hierarchy. I mean finding these secrets sometimes puts an emphasis on my feeling of being special in comparison to others.. like frodo hording the ring. Weird stuff mate.
my loopy guess is that t. mckenna is off hopping about hyperspace wielding a butterfly net analog, all the while collecting the most peculiar.

I find that opinions and beliefs that have real substance have a way of resisting the test of time. Despite this, I believe that in the end, no opinion matters, as anything that can be expressed with words is ephemeral. There is good and bad in every place, and you attract what you are looking for, consciously and subconsciously.

Having your own opinions is the fastest way of growing, even if they are not opinions that you like. If you begin with your genuine opinion, it helps you personally. If you begin with someone else's opinion, there is nothing for you to be gained.

What matters is accepting our differences and respecting a right to have our own views, without interfering with other people's views. Having a detached respectful honest attitude can take you very far.

Best vibes to you Love have a great time.

+ it'll assist in safeguarding the individual from deluding themself, which can be quite the parasitic mental playspace. Stay on your toes' toes when dealing with the world of psychs, friends.

Some people believe dmt chooses or finds them. I chose dmt. And arnt those whove taken the red pill superior to those who took the blue pill? But remember knowledge is power but ignorance is bliss. And theres no cure for the red pill.
Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There will be always someone better than you in experiencing your own and subjective experiences.

As humans, we usually try to feel good withing ourselves and others, and one of the quickiest ways is confronting and degrading others, criticizing their prespective based on our personal norms of what is good and what is wrong.

I've also had, sometimes, on various forums (not only DMT/other drugs related) this feeling, as i had in real life situation.

I guess internet as a media just make it easier to really let some nasty prejudice go wild, and yes, the more the experience is mysterious and unexplicable, like DMT, the more the people usually will think of have understood something out of it.

I would like to add that reading text on a forum doesn't always come across the same way as it would in a face to face conversation. You are not getting the tone, which words are being emphasized, or the body language. This can make for
some misinterpretation as to what the person was actually trying to express.

Some people are better at being clear in what they mean through text than others.
I myself would greatly prefer to talk face to face, and don't even really like talking on the telephone because I can't see how their face is reacting to what I'm saying. Dead silence could be listening intently, or rolling their eyes at me.

Take care

I don't find it to be that binary. The root of why I say this is because ultimately (afaik) we only live through our eyes & subjective mind, therefore who is the official arbiter in deciding absolute superiority that withstands absence of mind?
