A friend I introduced to vaped DMT, who owns a vegan restaurant, giggled when I opened my little vial and held it to her nose. She said:

"Ça sent les tortillas de maïs! Le Delice Mexicain Tortilla!"

(It smells like corn tortillas! The Delightful Mexican Tortilla!" (DMT, obviously!))

I smelled it and you know what, I have to agree! There must be a stack of indoles in a stack of tortillas!

Thank you. first ever batch using Acacia was difficult ended up with sticky yellow oil. Reminds me of BHO consistency but anyways after collecting and drying on parchment paper just now I smelled it and being a newbie I couldn't tell if naphtha was trapped due to the weird smell. initially reminded me of Corn Tortilla smell. I guess its normal

I can attest to this. Walking along paths are the areas in which I smell these scents reminiscent of the deems.
my loopy guess is that t. mckenna is off hopping about hyperspace wielding a butterfly net analog, all the while collecting the most peculiar.

I visited my parents a few days ago and noticed a powerful waft of DMT while I was out kicking a ball around their front garden. I followed the smell to a tree which had lots of little white blossoms, the flowers smelt very strongly of it. Need to find out what that tree is...

Was it a Nike tree?

Very happy

I say that because I'm currently working at a department store while in school, and out of all the sneakers we unload, Nike smells strongest of DMT. A floral, indole, new sneaker sort of smell is what I always notice. So maybe "Just Do It" is in reference to DMT! The smell is everywhere!

My friend and I noticed the same DMT smelling white blossoms a few weeks ago. I went passed it the other day and it wasn't smelling like it anymore. I thought maybe it was just us!

I also have smelt spice on random occasions but not for a while.

On another note, my grandmother had dimentia and in the latter stages her home reeked of the spice. I visited frequently and remember the first time i smelt it there her "condition " had started to go down hill...one time she was in and out of consciousness, she came to and said she could see a big open book that she couldn't read but it had holes in it and this is where her pain was. Maybe a little off topic but thought it might be worth sharing.

I can see the headline now: "Teenagers extract mind-bending drug from sneakers - shoe huffing craze sweeps nation".

Hmm... some people are really into sniffing new sneakers - what do they know that we don't?? Big grin

Was actually wondering about this.
During my walk to the train recently, I could have sworn that I had tasted/smelled DMT. Just a very light taste, just enough for me to get my attention and get the hairs on the back of my neck to stand on end Very happy

I occasionally get a good whiff of that wonderful smell near some floral displays. Been trying to identify which flowers are triggering it but no such luck thus far.

Keep it down! We don't want to get a worldwide sneaker ban now do we?

The first time I smelled DMT, I was instantly reminded of the old building my Sunday school was in. That place consistently reeked like what I subsequently found DMT to smell like. Was there some secret Gnostic subsection of my local church? I sincerely doubt it, but it's an amusing idea nonetheless. Several other old buildings in my town smelled the same, including the masonic hall. Hmmm....

Of course, this is a complete chronological reversal of what the thread's meant to be about.

More on topic, arriving one morning on a local football pitch I was astounded by the degree to which the recently mown and lightly sun-dried grass smelled of DMT. I briefly considered raking up as much of the grass clippings as possible in order to perform a test, but the thought of separating out the shredded tin cans and dog excrement put me off somewhat. Anyhow, I had a job to get on with so there wasn't time for such shenanigans.

There are many spring flowers in my area that are reminiscent of dmt , but black locust are a dead ringer. My key limes have been blooming out as well... ohhh the smell of it!

So I took some photos of the tree the smell was coming from. The blossoms are pink now and the smell is gone (though it was raining when I took the photos so maybe that had something to do with it). Be curious to know what the tree is:

So after a break for months I finally made an extraction. Though I haven't tried any yet I had a good sniff this morning when I was scraping it up...

Now I can smell it everywhere again! Big grin

Woo yay!

I had this happen before. I was 2 hours into a ayahuasca trip and wonder if it was going to work, but then I noticed a very strong taste of DMT in my mouth, 2 minutes later I was hit by the DMT flash.

It's also happened to me when sober but not as strong as the above.

WOW, I thought I was the only one who smells DMT randomly. I wonder what causes this?

After doing an extraction I can often smell it everywhere for weeks. There seems to be some sort of association pattern for me. When I did my first extraction and I was on here double checking as I went I could then smell it for weeks around my pc, particularly near the keyboard. After tripping a pile of times at the beach I could smell it on the sea breeze for a long time too. With the nature of hyperspace it's really no wonder that it would appear everywhere in our memories.

It's a flavour that was always here but now we can notice more because we isolated it.

also our mouth taste like dmt for example right after we wake up in the morning or if u smell the elder mouth.
