Would non-denatured alcohol be plausible to use on naptha-extracted DMT for purification as it is for xylene-extracted jungle spice?

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking, but here is some information.

DMT freebase and DMT fumerate are both highly soluble in Ethanol. It can be used to recrystallize the material, the only time I think this could be useful is if SWIM had non-alkaloid stuff in their evap? More then likely the plant oils and such would not be soluble in alcohol so it can be used to purify your spice, however if SWIM performs proper defat before pulling spice this is never an issue.

However Ethanol is a very nice tool for cleaning out containers with material stuck on the sides. SWIM frequently uses it to wash his FASA jars and get 25-50% more weight out of each jar that is normally non-removeable.
