Anybody knows the vaporization temperature point of 5-MeO-DMT?

I have looked around and stumbled on this - but it seems quite high??:

"5-MeO-DMT boiling point.
The vaporization point should be the same as its boiling point, unless it sublimes. According to Tihkal the bp is 160-170°C at 0.6 mmHg, which extrapolated to ambient pressure is approximately 370-390°C."

Editing my post due to inaccuracies. I am curious about this too. There doesn't seem to be much information on the subject and a lot of conflicting information.

As I understood it, it is like that, that the BP of 5-MeO-DMT at normal pressure is far above the temp that will destroy the molecule.
Therefore you never really see a normal pressure BP indicated.
But that isn't really a problem, as like water it evaporates at lower temps.

Aum_Shanti, ..and you had success around 230°C right? (BTW I enjoyed your post in the 5-MeO-DMT section. I'd like to chime in but can't since I'm not a full member).

For DMT there seems to be a consensus about the best temp. for vaporization but I haven't found it mentioned anywhere for 5-MeO-DMT.

I think as it is about evaporation, the tek mostly would define the "best" temp. You surely would have an upper limit, where you would destroy most of the substance (no idea where that is).

But it seems some 5-MeO-DMT users use argon devices, so that to prevent at least oxidation of the 5-MeO-DMT.



Lol, that was just because my flowermate doesn't get any higher than that. But as said there, I cannot really recommend this flowermate Aura for 5-MeO-DMT.

I now bought a 13mm donut atomizer and an eleaf pico. Will start today with some tests...
Still have no idea what temp and wattage setting I should probably go best...

I think I will first try it at 16W and 200°C and see from there...
With this atomizer, someone on reddit recommends for DMT 16W and 160°C.
Hmm, so I should probably rather go for something like 20W...

I have no experience with 5-Meo, but for DMT I set my e-cig to 36 watts. I got one with a temperature control but this function works for shit.
