COOK:
I spent a total of about 14 hours. 3x 3hour cooks, then reduction. No acid or anything, just tap water + ingredients. I did not use a filter of any kind, so there was a slight burnt taste to my brew. Spent 90% of the entire time in the kitchen to be with the experience, smudged all day, sang and played guitar to my brew, ultimately did my best to create a warm space that resonated with me. I started cooking around 1pm. LESSON LEARNED! Will start first thing in the morning next time
When I woke up this morning, holy shit was I tired! I have never been so exhausted since the start of 2017. I guess it was a lot of mental projections into my brew, pacing back and forth in the kitchen, and being on my feet all day yesterday. But 100% worth it to connect with the process, especially being my first.
Reduced to 250mL.
TOMA:
Smudged, music, set intentions, etc.
Started with 25mL when I woke up this morning. Minor nausea, felt the aya working my digestive system, and felt the slightest initial tingle in my brain. I felt nothing to barely something.
Took another 25mL after 90mins of first dosage. Felt very cold inside, to the root of my body. The inner space of my sternum and ribs, down to my feet. When I was ready, I purged for only about 3 minutes. Saw the slightest images of geometric patterns, but they were not very profound. Nonetheless, they were there teasing me and I appreciated it. I briefly went to the core of by being (whoever is behind the shield of my ego), and connected. I don't know what this means, but I was there in the space with my self. I wasn't able to go deeper, but gladly welcomed my first cook experience to be successful in my eyes.
I had my first dose at 11am, and now it is 3pm. I feel content, no major realizations or "wow" feelings, and preparing to eat something since I haven't eaten for 18 hours. Ready to walk my dog outside also in the madness of society.
I'm grateful to have these plants/tools to deepen my "process".
Next time, I'll be taking 75mL at once. Oh, and I will be buying a scale soon
