Firstly, thank you for the opportunity to join such a remarkable enclave on the clearnet.

So as to me... I am 30, and I have not actually experienced any psychedelic experiences beyond marijuana and a slight adverse reaction to an opiate based drug given to me in hospital when I was younger.

Life has been...I would say hard, but the last few years would change the word to...challenging for me. Anyway the negatives far outweighed the positive experiences in the first 27 years of my life.

When I was around 28 I went through what people call "The dark night of the soul" in the Kundalini world but without a kundalini activation. More of an awakening. I used to laugh at the idea of spirituality but it took me to delve into the world of spirituality to lessen the effects of DNOTS. I still have anxiety and some depression now but the last 2 years I have been meditating daily and doing kundalini yoga with the hope of activating my kundalini. It is not looking likely this will happen in this lifetime. Fortunatly I believe in life cycles so I have faith the next one will be more positive.

So why am I here? I discovered LSD a while back and then DMT as a "20 minute version". But I did not partake, because I was advised NOT to mix drugs with kundalini. But as it seems my efforts to awaken kundalini are wasted, atleast purely (there are tons of other positive side effects of kundalini yoga in day to day life!) I think I am ready to move on.

For me, drugs are not to be used recreationally. I gave up marijuana 10 years ago and I rarely drink alcohol, I certainly don't use it for entertainment or escapism. I even do a 72 hour caffeine fast every 2 weeks so that I don't get addicted!

If I am honest, it would probably be ideal for me to start with mushrooms... but I moved house from one end of the country to the other. I don't know anyone. I don't know anywhere. Same with DMT. I simply made a statement at the peak of one of my meditations: "If it is to happen, Universe, make it so". The universe is pretty kind to me. I get a lot of synchronicities and if I meditate on something for example that I am pretty poor, I normally get an unexpected gift or win something etc a few days later.

I wish to explore the Universe more thoroughly. But like anything I do in life, I research it first. And I am the kind of person who when I latch on to some idea, I get very one-track-minded. Which brings me to the best place in the internet to learn and hopefully give back.

I have a few experiments I would like to do when I am more, let's say, experienced.

- The effects of diet on trips. I am convinced that bad trips on DMT are caused by incorrect or bad diets. Ayahusca retreat shamans state you should follow a special diet before partaking in the ceremonies, from what I have read people who vape/smoke DMT do not even look at their diet before trips.

- Perfecting an e-cigarette as a vaping method. I know this has been touched on but the latest gear makes it perfectly possible to inhale enough to break through. You can even get quad, super-low ohm coils now and drip the perfect amount on to them (RDA).

- Meditating right before a trip. There is a breathing technique I learnt in Kundalini Yoga that puts your brain into theta brainwave cycles, which is also what deep meditation does. I would like to experience what a DMT trip is like in the midst of theta cycles. On top of this experiment I would like to experiment with meditation whilst micro-dosing other psychedelics.

Btw your quiz is pretty fun. I am not sure if I am supposed to answer it based on experience or if it is a simple test of ones Google-Fu? It seems like it is aimed at Chemistry majors, I have zero chemistry knowledge and I want to be up front about that. Also my living arrangements are not suited to amateur chemistry setups so if I am honest, I have little interest in learning Chemistry at this point in time.

Thank you again for allowing me to be here. Let the learning commence!!!

With regards to the questionnaire, take it seriously, research the questions, try to answer it to the best of your ability, but just know that it's not the be all end all. The quality of your posts and your attitude is the most important thing. Hope that helps you out.Thumbs up

Welcome!Thumbs up

That's some much needed clarification! I was answering honestly (more like a survey) instead of researching each question-- I didn't want to binge learn and forget everything just for the sake of gaining full membership (although that in-and-of-itself is antithetical to the point of the questionnaire). I'll put in more due diligence for sure!
