Hello people,
I read lot of discussions about the shelf life and storage of DMT freebase and different DMT salts. Most of these concluded that DMT fumarate salt is the most stable.
However I was unable to find enaugh information on harmala storage. So I would like to ask you if anyone of you know about the shelf life of different harmala alkaloids?
Is there any significant difference between freebases / salts? In what form should these substances stored?
Thank you for your answers in advance.

swim stores his freebase harmine/harmaline mixture in a dark dry place. Don't think storing in a fridge is necessary.) all my posts are random generated and can not be evaluated as distinct ideas Evening Glory wrote:This is a medicine, remember, not some video you can watch inside your head.

Hello, and thanks for the answer!
Have you ever noticed any sign of degradation? How old was your oldest mixture?

My harmalas store nicely sealed tightly with a pack a silica gel. You can, of course, steal a packet of silica gel from your medicine cabinet... Six months storage and no noticeable degradation. -- K "Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored." -A.Huxley

I have always wondered if it would be better to store chemicals in a liquid solution, rather than as a pure solid. If you dissolved DMT fumarate into reverse osmosis, distilled water would it stay DMT fumarate longer in a cold, dark, dry place? I'd love to hear the current thoughts folks have on the storage of Harmala alkaloids. Thanks. From where is the noise?

As far as I'm aware Harmala alkaloids are very stable with little or no degradation, however it has been noted that harmine degrades over time to harmaline or is that the other way round (I can't remember). I remember reading that some vine that was stored in a museum was tested after decades of storage and it still contained harmaline or harmine. Here you!!! Gonnaenodaethat

This PDF from cayman chemical suggests that that harmine freebase should be stored at -20°C, giving it a shelf life of 2 years. No data for the salts.

SWIM has had freebase syrian rue extracted harmalas stored in an airtight jar for about two years at room temperature with no noticeable degradation. It looks exactly the same and has the same potency as it did two years earlier. It was stored in the dark, though.
As far as the spice, SWIM has also had spice-fumarates stored for an equal amount of time in the same conditions with no noticeable degradation. It's still pure white active fumarate powder.
