I love this picture of Maria Sabina. However, she is pictured with stropharia cubensis mushrooms, which I don't feel was appropriate. Maria Sabina would have been using psilocybe mexicana or psilocybe caerulescens. The stropharia cubensis mushrooms, called "San isidro" by the mushroom shamans of Huautla de Jimenez, are considered inferior.
