DMT seems to have made it back into my life and I have rejoined this forum to further learn about... everything I can learn about here... More specifically about extractions as I am new to this process, then later about changa and pharma/ayahuasca.
I have been encountering some issues when evaporation, freezing, and separating the naphtha from the desired materials.
Thanks to all who are part of the forum.
Evaporation and freezing are two different routes to the same end. DMT freebase is soluble in hot naphtha, and insoluble in cold naphtha, so once you have your DMT/naphtha, you can simply place the naphtha in the freezer, allowing the DMT freebase to precipitate from the naphtha. It's important to filter these crystals out before the naphtha is allowed to return to room temperature.
Then there's evaporation, once you have your DMT/naphtha, you can simply evaporate your solvent leaving the DMT freebase to be collected.
naphtha and H20 are not miscible, and will separate on their own after agitation.
