I started a wiki page (I hope that is OK) to hopefully compile all articles related to DMT. I'm focusing on articles from 2015 onward for now, with plans to backtrack in time. I was thinking we can just use the wiki to list all the relevant articles, and then post the full text in this (or a new) thread to keep it from getting too cluttered.
I realize that there is probably hundreds of articles on DMT, and that this will be quite a bit of work, but we have to start somewhere right?
Anyways the page can be found here:
https://wiki.dmt-nexus.me/DMT_Studies
It has not yet been linked anywhere on the wiki. If you have a chance feel free to add some articles.

I guess you are gone since last online is may 2015 but anyways I was thinking, if anyone wanted to help organize DMT/psychedelic-related articles, the best format would probably be an excel table with each column being a category like: author, title (with link), year, subject, keywords, etc

That way it would be probably be easier to be searched as well as to be added to some kind of database if someone was willing to program it.

In any case thanks for sharin the publications everybody Smile

Here you go! 'The Social Chemistry of Discovery: The DMT Story' is tough to find now. I had to get Szara himself to photocopy this for me!! Smile

endlessness, i literally just came here to post that! I hate how these articles are just electronic manuscripts of knowledge awaiting my access if only i trade sufficient symbology in the form of dollars. is it possible that if one person buys it then he/she can upload it for everyone else?

Neuropharmacology of N,N-Dimethyltryptamine
Theresa M. Carbonaro, Michael B. Gatch
Brain Research Bulletin
doi: 10.1016/j.brainresbull.2016.04.016

Abstract:
N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) is an indole alkaloid widely found in plants and animals. It is best known for producing brief and intense psychedelic effects when ingested. Increasing evidence suggests that endogenous DMT plays important roles for a number of processes in the periphery and central nervous system, and may act as a neurotransmitter. This paper reviews the current literature of both the recreational use of DMT and its potential roles as an endogenous neurotransmitter. Pharmacokinetics, mechanisms of action in the periphery and central nervous system, clinical uses and adverse effects are also reviewed. DMT appears to have limited neurotoxicity and other adverse effects except for intense cardiovascular effects when administered intravenously in large doses. Because of its role in nervous system signaling, DMT may be a useful experimental tool in exploring how brain works, and may also be a useful clinical tool for treatment of anxiety and psychosis.

I have almost all articles posted here plus some of my own in an endnote file, I exported it to excel, so it is a beginning of a database.

A paper I helped out on...said paper is attached.

Bouso, J. C., Pedrero-Pérez, E. J., Gandy, S., and Alcázar-Córcoles, M. Á. (2016) Measuring the subjective: revisiting the psychometric properties of three rating scales that assess the acute effects of hallucinogens. Human Psychopharmacology: Clinical and Experimental, 31, 356–372.

http://onlinelibrary.wil...0.1002/hup.2545/abstract

Objective

In the present study we explored the psychometric properties of three widely used questionnaires to assess the subjective effects of hallucinogens: the Hallucinogen Rating Scale (HRS), the Mystical Experience Questionnaire (MEQ), and the Addiction Research Center Inventory (ARCI).

Methods

These three questionnaires were administered to a sample of 158 subjects (100 men) after taking ayahuasca, a hallucinogen whose main active component is N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT). A confirmatory factorial study was conducted to check the adjustment of previous data obtained via theoretical proposals. When this was not possible, we used an exploratory factor analysis without restrictions, based on tetrachoric and polychoric matrices and correlations.

Results

Our results sparsely match the theoretical proposals of the authors, perhaps because previous studies have not always employed psychometric methods appropriate to the data obtained. However, these data should be considered preliminary, pending larger samples to confirm or reject the proposed structures obtained.

Conclusions

It is crucial that instruments of sufficiently precise measurement are utilized to make sense of the information obtained in the study of the subjective effects of psychedelic drugs.

Now that's what I'd call a download bomb! Thanks, and happy new year!

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."
