Hello travellers.

I spent a good while searching for more information regarding this, to no avail.

Please be so kind as to offer your opinion.

My enquiry is simple, if there is a non polar solvent, Naphtha, with minor impurities that is used to pull spice from a basified mix, can this resulting spice be purified with a non polar solvent, Bestine, that has no impurities, through Re-x?

Essentially, would the impurities from the Naphtha that is left behind, be cleaned out by the pure solvent Bestine? Or would the Bestine absorb these impurities?

Thank you kindly for reading and contributing.

Yes.

the heptane (bestine) will dissolve any impurities that came over with the DMT from the naphtha. The impurities in naphtha are mostly just high boiling mineral oils, you only get a significant amount of them if you evaporate. Bestine is just a cleaner more refined 'naphtha'

Like they used to say in the 70s, the solution to pollution is dilution
