I was just watching a PBS show called Nature, that showed a type of Preying Mantis called a "Pink Mantis", that I have never seen before & is so incredibly beautiful I had to Google it & get a better look!!

You gotta check these guys out!!
(check out the "orchid mantis's" at the bottom of that page too!)

Here is one of them, Man so gorgeous!!:

WOW!!!!

I've never seen any of the "mantis-like" DMT entities that others talk about, but a good friend of mine did a number of times.
I assume they are more like the Pink Mantis than the normal kind...which are so alien & beautiful in their own right!!

Dont kill for no reason but if you are attacked by a swarm and decide to defend your self by eating them better make sure you crunch the head asap. Mantis usually olny bite prey and most wont bite when handled but the large ones can give very painful bite been bitten on the leg at first I though it was a bee sting but it was a Large 6inch Green Praying mantis no venom just pain.

Thats why when in the act of mating the female Green Praying mantis turns around and begins to devour the male head first and since he is busy getting his freak on (as some say) he continuse with his bussiness wile he is devowered ALIVE wile continuing to get his freak on. He becomes some nice nourishment and helps build a strong cotton ball sized egg case that will survive the winter and produce a couple hundred little guys who will do it all over again and again ect.....

Thanks to a groupe of specialized cells in his lower abdomen he is able to continue to get his freak on long after his brain has been devoured.

This may seem violent and EVIL to some to me its just life. That said no more cop threads I get it! some of them are violent and evil and this is no place for THEM I understand.Smile

PEACE

WOW Shocked Those Mantises are incredibly beautiful. I've never even heard of a pink mantis or an orchid mantis. Thanks for sharing, warrensaged!

I love mantises, they are some of the most otherworldly looking creatures around. That pink mantis is so awesome, here are just some of my favorite mantis pictures they are taken by a photographer on deviantart named Blepharopsis (Oh please view them in Full View.)

1. Orchid Mantis

2. Mantis Eating food

3. Mandibular Prognathism

4. Orchid Mantis

I once saw mantis beings..not on DMT though, on mushrooms..I ate about 4 grams with a friend..I had a good trip until we smoked a bunch of hash near the end of the trip and ate some food.I had not smoked for a few days becasue I couldnt find any..it kicked my trip back on and then some and the I saw these two trees morph into mantis/grasshopper like beings and it really freaked me out..my mind felt really warped like I was loosing reality and I ended up pacing back and forth for the next hour..it was interesting though after I came down.

That picture is amazing..reminds me of a movie I saw a few weeks ago on TV..The Mist I think..giant bugs comming from another dimension..haha I wonder where they got that idea?..

needs more mantis shrimp
they can move their eyes 70º, they see the visible light spectrum, infrared, ultraviolet, and polarized light (they can see heat)
also they have the fastest "punch" in the animal kingdom. they punch so fast they fucking boil water!
that and they look pretty badass too..

(kinda looks like a mantis grafted onto a rainbow-colored lobster)
