hey everyone I have been searching and i cant seem to find ph strips that you dip and then the results would be seen outside the diped area maybe i am over thinking this because i have never used ph strips before but wont the solution make it hard to tell what the results are? i looked up wine testing strips but they don't cover the range i need and i have seen meters but from what i am reading (and my budget) they break or give false readings, require special storage so i am at a lose. i have had this question for weeks but i wasn't confident enough to ask i just kept looking so sorry for asking something that must be everywhere but i guess i just dont know how to look thank you guys for all that you do i have learned so much from all of you

What are you extracting and using what method? Most likely you dont need pH strips at all... if you extract mimosa or acacia rootbark and are using lye, just keep adding till the whole solution is black, that by itself is a pH indicator.

First of all you rather drip your solution onto the paper than dipping the paper into the solution.

Second of all. Just go to ebay and look it up there. Else go to pet stores fish section water test kits.

The color of the solution doesnt affect it much. Only for liquid PH tests its difficult. Thats what paper is for. Unless you have a really strong color you can always tell the test. Else you can just filter the solution.

You can just try it out on stuff like coffee or some kind of cola.
