Howdy friends! Wanted to reach out to all you beautiful people and see what rituals you like to partake in before/during/after your DMT experiences. Meditation, music, water, lighting.... what do you focus on to make sure that you're properly setup for the experience? I ask because I'll have an opportunity tonight to visit this beautiful place again, alone, and wanted to see what might provide for a nice set/setting. Method of smoking will be out of a ceramic e-nail / low temp dab rig, so I'll most likely be going straight from the rig to the couch. Does anyone enjoy a certain sound track or ambient sounds to go along with the journey? My first experience had no music, just silence in the room. Sometimes people would talk, but everything that was said would fold beautifully into the experience. Wondering if putting on some headphones and music would add to the experience. Also, my dog is incredibly receptive when I'm under any psychedelic and will usually be right next to me. At those moments when you are blasting off/breaking through/touching upon that higher vibration, he will come up to me/stand over me and paw at me (either checking that I'm ok or is trying to connect as well). This never bothers me while on LSD, but I feel like it might be too intrusive while on DMT. Anyone have any experience/insight with this particular setup? The intention I have for this journey is to connect with any entities that share a similar vibration/resonance (whether that be my higher self or other entities who are similar in vibration), as channeling and connecting with higher energies/entities has been calling to me for some time. Again, does anyone have any insight on this? Thanks for any and all input on the matter. Much love! Yeti

I guess I'm a bit late, but it all depends on what you are going for. If you wanna connect with entities a silent room might be preferable. But I have come to see that it's not that important since I usually listen to music, the entities communicate with me through thought and intuition. I can highly rekommend checking out Dead Can Dance, they have some really mystical songs. Check out the songs Lotus Eaters, Kiko, Indus and Dawn of The Iconoclast. There is a change in tone in Dawn of The Iconoclast which alone can sent me in to a breakthrough, very strange indeed. Music is a very important part of my hyperspace!
Other than that I always make sure it feels right, that I am positive in spirit. I make sure the apartment is clean and positive and I light a few candles.

Put the dog away. No offense to the dog. Just speaking from experience. lol Bring him out afterward and love him galore, but dogs and dmt don't mix imo. What do I do? My ceremony, so to speak, has evolved over time. Right now I do the following. I clean my space. I drink water. I meditate for about 30 mins before a DMT journey. I light candles and smudge myself and my environment with incense, white sage most of the time, sometimes sandalwood. I create a space where I feel safe and protected. I set my mind to stay centered and observe or witness. I like music with no lyrics and mix it up each time. I take note of everything I feel and think. I stay grounded as much as I can to the witness. The one who sees everything that occurs. The one who is always there. I watch from there. When I do this I find myself disappear in so many ways. For me this is the goal. To disappear. When you reappear it feels like it is on purpose. Which gives a sense of purpose I suppose? All I know is that I am not there. I do not exist. But I am aware of everything. Afterward I like to walk around and usually eat some fruit or candy. I drink water. I allow my body to do what it needs to express itself. I shake my arms and I say "holy shit" over and over if need be. I allow the exhilaration to take me over and feel it all. I then smudge myself and the environment again and thank whatever it is for this experience. I give gratitude in the most pure way I can. This brings me much peace. I feel connected. Good or difficult, I am at peace with what occurs now. I am grateful for this experience of life. Only in psychedelics could I have found this view from which I look. P.S. The entities and aliens and elves are all façade. The real show is behind them. P.S. The entities and aliens and elves are all façade. The real show is behind them. Beautiful post dude. This mirrors much of what I do, when I do smoke I think the preparation prior is so important, in that for me personally whatever I have around me and/or coming through my senses at the time [smells of incense, melodic non-vocal music, ambient lighting] is what will carry through in those initial moments, though past a certain point, ime, the experience will shed those things brought in, though it seems to take those things and spin things accordingly when the experience begins to ramp up. Initially, before the experience sets in, it feels to be a hyper sensitive medium, incredibly tact in those first moments. I love smoking in silence, though most of my smoked experiences have been with non-vocal melodic style tunes. Music for me in some ways is like an icaros, or can be, a massive driving factor to the experience, throws you a rope to hold onto throughout, something to hold within your immediate focus/awareness. Adding a steering wheel to hyperspace. ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png) Being comfortable is key. If im not completely comfortable in my immediate environment [what's around me], then it's a no-go. <3

Thought this might come in handy in relation to the music part. The post was started to collect the nexians specific taste of sounds that serve as company during hyperspace ventures. Hope you'll find some interesting frequencies over there
