Namaste To One and All,
I joined a day ago.., and as soon as I saw some content here- I wished that I'd have joined some 6 years ago. I started my inquiry into psychedelic substances with the intention of dealing with my own depression... and with some research- I found out substances called LSD and psilocybin etc..and how they induce altered states (I was looking for mystical experiences)..I did some search on the internet and found some videos about these, mainly talks by Dr.Stanislav Grof, Dr.Rick Strassman and was very curious to try them. So, I decided to try LSD and I had no clue about how to go with it. I neither had someone with experience to guide me nor was smart enough to think about searching about that on the internet for some info.
My first trip was intense (I am not going into details)..but after that I couldn't get the same intensity again or may be I was tricked by people by giving me some other chemicals in name of LSD. I was too noob to know.So, I kept eating stuff until at last I was diagnosed with psychosis. Some doctors said I already had it, some say it is because of my drug abuse.
I was a computer science engineering student and I dropped out 6 years ago...now, after all this have happend. I have joined college again to do bachelors in psychology (Now 2nd Year).
I also lived with saints and learned philosophy,mainly advaita vedanta and meditation..and it also helped gain an insight about the reality which is..it also helped me find balance.
I also tried to find info about inducing DMT like states through meditation and found a text
called 'Dark Room Enlightenment', I couldn't find the full copy of it and I did not want to try it this time without some expert advice. This made me search and I found Nexus.
What I believe is that these altered states or the Inner world is the key to the innermost..and the innermost is where we find a solution to our every problem, I also know that I am only beginning to know ..And I hope that I would be given a chance again, Because I believe that, Second chances are always better,since we already know what all fails...
