So I recently met this american guy who had an anahuasca brew with a particular sweet taste he told me it was made using coca-cola instead of water. Any of you have any experience with this brew? Ometecuhtli

Not personally, but I know of one who did and reported okay. The phosphoric acid in the cola works in favor. But when you boil down a larger volume to a drinkable shot, mind that all the cola that was in there, will be concentrated in the shot too. All that sugar also.

I'm not sure how loads of sugar helps the process or your stomach

thats the last thing I'd want to be drinking in conjunction with oral dmt brew...both on a physical and a spiritual level.. i can see how it might help leech out alkaloids though

I remember reading a book where a guy claimed that massive amounts of sugar would always prevent an unpleasant LSD trip. The book ended with him drilling a hole in his forehead though and he says that worked too. Still alive today I think.
I say try it out. A lot of people dump on sugar and I stay away from it myself, but a solid sugar blast once in a while can be pretty awesome.

use caffeine free coca cola . iif a good taste is your aim, why not give OJ a shot . pun intended.

Plain water with no acidifiers has always worked very well, just boiling for 30 minutes ground up leaf to a near dust form. Either your leaf is going to be potent or it's not, never found acids to help extract anymore than just plain water. You may remember me as 69Ron. I was suspended years ago for selling bunk products under false pretenses. I try to sneak back from time to time under different names, but unfortunately, the moderators of the DMT-Nexus are infinitely smarter than I am.

Coca cola has been brought on the table for aya brewing ( don't remember whom now ). We argued that indeed, as Jess pointed the phosphoric acid was supposedly a help in extraction, the rest, I would be better be off with nice juices such as grapes ). Next time, am brewing with grape juice and reduce down to solid. The sugar with tannins will caramelize and make a thick and sweet paste. AM not a big fan of Coca cola, and to be honest, when I read the title, I was more up for discussing tek to DIY you real "coca cola" from cola nuts and coca leaf. Well, that's another interesting topic. Smell like tea n,n spirit !
