What solvent can one use to dissolve freebase Harmaloids and then evaporate onto leaf? Will ISO work or does ot have to be acetone??

I've used 90%+ iso most of the time with reasonable success, though I use a hotbath to warm up the iso(no-flame) - helps the harmalas dissolve easier ime.

Otherwise the better option I think is a high proof ethanol - harmalas dissolve nicely into that.

Dissolved about 700mg of Harmine/Harmaline FB in about 2 ounces of warm iso and let it evap onto 700 mg of dried mint leaf.

Some of the harmala took forever to dissolve but it eventually did.
