Hope you are doing well, in harmony and love Just recently i bought this fellow here, and was wondering if someone could help me with his name While passing near local flower shop he got my attention. Im not gonna lie, i bought him in hope that it could be one of the alkaloid active trichocereus specimens. But even if no, still a very nice cactus for my home collection! Enjoy the pics buds Best regards Not a San Pedro... I'm not quite sure what it is. I thought at first a Pilosocerues, then maybe a Toothpick Cactus. But I'm not sure. Browningia maybe? Hey friendos, Would anyone be able to help me identify this big old guy in my new backyard. I'm fairly certain it's a Cereus Peruvianus but I'm very vague with my cacti so really have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (even if it is a Cereus, would it be worth taking some cuttings to re-plant? The old guy defiantly looks on the latter half of his moon cycle, if you catch my drift.) Looks like a Cereus of some sort (peruvianus has red flowers) Theres a lot of debate over what's what. They all produce pretty much the same fruit to my knowledge. Its tasty "Peruvian Apple" Kubizm beaufiul cactus. Creator help me live in a way that will make my ancestors proud.

Ulim, the cactus in the potted plant with the rocks looks like its molding from the bottom up. You should replant and try to salvage as much as possible before it is too late. It might already be too late. Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous. — Terence McKenna

Bummer. Hope the one you got is able to be saved. Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous. — Terence McKenna

I don't know what it is but, IMO, it's not a trichocereus. « I love the smell of boiling MHRB in the morning »

Hey MH, The first two are the hardware store cacti I mentioned elsewhere n another thread you said might be mislabeled brownings. The smallest had the stupid straw flower glued on, the large pairs to me seem like they might not all be the same. Still have my receipt for returns if they are not the real thing lol. the third are kate clones which I am sure are legit Pachinoi and the last is a pair of peruvianus from another source I feel is legit. skoobysnax attached the following image(s): t macromaybe.jpg (7,748kb) downloaded 131 time(s). hardwaretrich.jpg (10,826kb) downloaded 131 time(s). kateclone.jpg (9,162kb) downloaded 131 time(s). gotcactiperuvianus.jpg (8,754kb) downloaded 131 time(s).Marijuana, LSD, psilocybin, and DMT they all changed the way I see But love's the only thing that ever saved my life - Sturgill Simpson "Turtles all the Way Down" Why am I here?

One of those Pachanois you found at the hardware store looks like a rare clone called TPQC, though I'm not 100% sure. (2nd picture pot on the right, plant on the left.) The peruvianus from kate generally are not peruvianus, usually cuzco. Yours I am unsure, but i lean towards them being real peruvianus from the color... Very beautiful blue. Very beautiful cacti in every picture, good job so far <3 Creator help me live in a way that will make my ancestors proud.

After you mentioned Browning I still suspect it may be. The Peruvs weren't a Kate strain. I will give them an honorable mention in the plants/seeds section. Marijuana, LSD, psilocybin, and DMT they all changed the way I see But love's the only thing that ever saved my life - Sturgill Simpson "Turtles all the Way Down" Why am I here?

"Ok, so this is really addictive" <<<< TRUISM Found some good stuff! The ones that look "broken off" are probably just the bottom where it "pupped" or budded from the main cactus. They should root just fine. Mine are still rooting fairly fast this late in the Season, but I'm in the Southern Plains U.S. Putting them under lights helps, but until their root systems are developed you don't want them right up under the light or they'll get burned. Once they're rooted trichs like LOTS of light, like an inch from the bulb. My flesh moves, like liquid. My mind is cut loose.

I found what I believe to be some sort of trichocereus spec. growing on Lanzarote. I was also able to collect some seeds! Can someone help me with ID? Nicita attached the following image(s): IMG_0043.JPG (1,624kb) downloaded 334 time(s). IMG_0040.JPG (2,068kb) downloaded 329 time(s).
