Actually, the upside down crucifix was originally known as The Cross of St. Peter, who, upon being condemned to death by crucifixion for refusing to renounce Christ, begged to be crucified on an upside down cross because he felt he was unworthy to have the same death as his Savior.

In short, it's a symbol of really dedicated devotion to Christ by one of the great Christian martyrs. I like telling edgy satanists that and seeing them become uncomfortable.

SWIM already knew this fact, but SWIM is curious as to why someone would still want to continue in the path of satanism/thelema after having opened their third eye through the use of DMT.

NEWSFLASH: DMT doesn't actually open your third eye, it just gives you a weird experience. If anything opens your third eye (if it actually exists at all), it is probably simply you.

Maybe because there is no universal experience intrinsic to DMT and it, like all other human experiences, is generated, processed, and understood in the context of our previously held beliefs? Your experience may be antithetical to satanism, hers may not be. Don't assume that your experience is exactly what everyone else's will be.

I should say, for the record, I do not have any kind of weird tentacle fetish, or fear of tentacles. Never have I had a traumatic run-in with an octopus or squid. There’s no event in my life that I can think of that would have caused me to see beings with retractable tentacles. They just had them. I remember at one point during the trip thinking to myself, “Tentacles? Really? Why fucking tentacles?”

With so many different forms of Satanism it becomes difficult to pigeon hole the bunch into one group. There are those that are in it for the kicks and don't actually believe in Satan and just want to piss you off. They see Satan as an idea, a fun idea to flirt around with. For them it's just an expression of their own will free from constraints society lays apon us all. I don't mind this type so much, fun to party with for sure lol.

There are ones who see Satan as a dark entity and can't wait to create elaborate rituals in his name. I'd watch out for those.

There are ones that follow the great god PAN whom Christians turned into their adversary. They are just pagans that exist somewhere between my first two examples.

When you're talking about Satanism nowadays you have to be more specific. What kind of Satanist are you swimming with?

I have a poster in my room that has the number 666 it doesn't bother me even when I'm tripping. I think satanists are actually kind of brave because demons and evil stuff kind of scares me. Also satanists are looking for spiritual encounters mabey she just does it to see if it will get the local ghost/ghouls attention. I personally think an encounter with one would be profound evidence of the afterlife I thought I saw a ghost twice in my life. I had some issues and got locked up at an old hospital that used to be used for tuberculosis I was only there for 3 months though. It's in CO because the mountain air helped them breath but it hadn't been used for tuberculosis since the late 1800s it's a mental health place now. Anyway I was asleep in my room one night and I woke up and saws man in a suite by the door to the bathroom he looked about 30 years old. Anyways I blinked and he was gone it gave me chills all through my body and I got scared of that room. The other one was a month later when the people died the would cremate them it what is now the kitchen and one day I was walking past it and I saw a semi fat lady dressed all in white through the window I stopped and turned my head to see her vanish in thin air. It was a wierd place the phone used to ring all the time and when you answer it's just static and clicking noises it would go off at least once a week and there was no one thier just the eerie static noises. That's the only place I've seen ghosts but worshipping satan might draw them out. Good luck

If it was dark when you saw the man in the suit, it may have just been a shadow. The mind plays tricks sometimes. In The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, this is mentioned early on.

Who knows? The mind is a complex thing and we're still not great at figuring out why it does what it does. I once smoked too much cannabis and cartoon rainbow gophers began precipitating through the ceiling. I have never given gophers (of any color) much thought. Maybe it's just neurological white noise: a hodge-podge of ideas and connections getting jumbled together by a brain that's been thrown into a highly entropic state.

I used to wear satanic shirts, listen to satanic music, the whole shebang. Would I have called myself a Satanist? Probably not. I just liked the imagery. I still do, to an extent. Perhaps she's also like that.
